I've 3 credit cards with huge debts (around $25000) which have increased over time with interest charges, and now I'm not in a position to pay them off. One of these cards is even charged off. I want to get rid of my debts. The creditors are behind me and are threatening to sue me. Is filing bankruptcy the best option for me? How can I get someone to pay off my debts?

I signed up to use ABC Debt Relief 12/08 thinking that they would guide and support me throught the process of eliminating my debt. What is found was this; they determine your total debt and then take a 15% fee for the first 4 months, for me this was over $700/mo in the mean time you begin to get notices from credit companies and after about 4 months I received a summons.ABC Debt Company did absolutly nothing on my behalf they took my money and never responded to any of the legal notices that warned me I would be going to court if I didnt contact the creditor.

Hi, I have struggled over the years after a divorce and sometimes used payday loans. On one income it is really hard. I have worked part-time but still struggle. Right now my problem is 3 payday loans. I have been sending them money every month but Cash Transfer is threating to garnish my wages.

one collection on my EX file - 138$ I tried contacting the collection agency 3-4 times by CMRR to validate the debt no response - 6 months of trying 45 days ago sent a letter to EX asking them to verify the info or delete. i asked them to thoroughly prove that the debt is mine... I used the format for the letter from this forum. Today I got a letter from them stating only that the debt was updated and that is mine and that it stays on my file. no other information. I don't know what else I can do.

I have 6 credit cards and most of them are behind as i have gotten my houurs and pay cut. When i originaly got them i was living at home. I changed all of my contact numbers to my cell phone and deleted my parents number from their files, so i thought anyway. My question is, if i dont answer when they call repeatedly (i figure if i tell them once that i dont have the money at that time and i will pay them when i do, its should be common sense to assume that if they call me 30 minutes later, i still wont have their money) can they call my parents house?

Hey everyone! I just joined and just signed up with T+C. I was wondering if anybody has finished their contract and if in the end it helped or hurt your credit score. I know that its better to have paid stuff than not but i heard that using these debt settlement companies will negatively affect your credit report and score. The girls i have talked to at t+c all say that the program will improve your credit rating but i would like to know if this is true from people who have experience. Thanx!

For the past 6 months, my car note has been late but I paid it. I was looking at my account online and there is no account info. I called and it said my account number is invalid. Like I said, my payment is made every month but it is late. Can they come repo my car and why would my account number be invalid? Please give me some answers. Thank you.

i have gotten over ten payday loans and now mine and my husbands checks are simply going to pay fees. he will not be working much longer and I am panicking. I have joined this community because i cannot continue to live like this and need help and honest accurate advice.
