I had a collection agency call my ex-husband's cell in regards to past medical bill. It is close to the end of the statute of limitations to end. This individual told my ex-husband all about my debt, how I had stopped payment on the check, how much I owed them and the NSF charge of $25.00. I talked to them two months ago and asked for verfication of the debt and received nothing. My doctor's practice filed for bk protection around this time of the supposed debt. Does this mean that his collection agency bought this debt and is trying to make money on this debt or what.

Can anyone explain to me what the maximum amount of my income can be garnished for student loans and child support? The federal and state laws are just too confusing for me to understand. Btw, I live in Iowa. I currently have defaulted student loans with two different collection companies. One I believe carries the federal loans, which has been garnishing my wages for approximately the last year and keeping my federal income tax returns for the past 5 or so years. I think the other holds the private loans and will soon be garnishing too.

Nothing for NC? I see it's illegal but confused about this CFO thing, how can you find out if a Pay Day loan is a CFO in the state of NC?

I too am caught in the payday trap. I live in WI, which I know is very loose on pdls. All of these loans are store front, are they all legal? Easy to work with? Check n Go, Check into Cash, PLS Loan Store, Ez Money, National City, The Cash Store, Advance America, American Cash 2 Go, NorthStar Loans and National Quick Cash. Most of these I have already paid the pricipal off.

If you see that NCS has reported something to your credit report this means that the account has been overdue for an extended amount of time and the original creditor has transferred your uncollected debt to National Credit Solutions for collection. Someone had to provide two types of identification and legitimate credit card or payment information for these original transactions...

Jay Masters called me from this company today. Anyone ever had to deal with this guy or company? I have a few pay day loans that are illegal in my state and am currently fighting with so unless he has to do with one of those I have no clue what he wants

I recently had a car repo, and the car was supposed to be auctioned off on May 23. This was while i resided in Ohio. I have recently moved to California. The company that repoed the car is known to sue, so should I notify them that I have moved to California. I really dont want them to file a suit once I tell them because they know they will get a default judgement because I will not be in Ohio. What should I do?

Jay Masters, "investigator" for NRC left me a rather rude message...well I guess it was me but he had my maiden name which I haven't used for 8 years now. Anyone know who this guy is or the company?
