We are being sued by a law firm collectong on toll road tax violations. The car that has assessed these violations was no longer our car, however we do not have proof of that but we can prove the car was no longer in our posession when it violated the toll procedured. We are willing and ready to go to court but my question is should they not be sueing us in our county? Not theirs?

BOA has taken $900.00 out of our personal bank account to pay a business credit card. We have been barely making ends meet and we are finally starting to make some payments to creditors (we are in critical financial shape) and now they are bouncing those checks we wrote to other creditors and charging us $35.00 for each NSF ( I wrote almost ten checks). I pulled a copy of my credit report last week and there was a line on there from AFNI with an open date of 1/09. It is supposed to be for a T-mobile account. I have never had T-Mobile. I sent a debt validation to AFNI, but my question is this when you see a line on your credit report what does the date open mean?

I have been getting phone calls at my place of work from these stupid people after numerous attempts to tell them not to call here. I have sent them several c&D letters but to no avail, some people think they are exempt from the laws. When I googled the phone number they were calling from it pulls up a florist in Texas. I find that interesting. Google had several pages of this. I thought by posting this, someone would at least see the accurate phone number. It is 888-322-1873 and it does belong to Ace Cash Services.

I called Chase last night and they accept 30% of my debt of 20K. lump sum. But when I asked them to send this to me in writing or FAX the offer to me the guy said they don't do that and becase all calls are recorded anyway. So should I send them check Endorset PAID IN FULL or try to get the offer in writing? Thanks!

I need help with my bills. My bf and I both struggle paycheck to paycheck. We dont spend money unless we need to. He has had a bad financial past and I just have 2 big loans that are hard to stay atop of. I hope I can find some help:)

I have received a copy of my credit report stating I owe this collection agency for three separate debts owed. They state that the original creditors are from "Direct Brands". I requested a detailed explanation of debt owed as I do not know who or what this company is. The sent me statements stipulating that the creditors are Book of the month club (owe $107.33), Doubleday book (owe $94.28) and the good cook book club (owe $71.95). I have no idea who they are and if I would order books it wouldn't be for these outrageous prices!

Hello, I obtained a payday loan (my first and last) in 2007. I paid this company $1520.00 during a length of 6 months for a loan of $500.00. After a while, I discontinued payments through my banking institution. I received a phone call from the collection company (Check Recovery Services) stipulating that they working with an attorney to prevent a lean on my home for non-payment of this loan. I explained that this loan has been paid and proof of payment can be provided.
