Has anyone used this company or know anything about them that they can share.

Hi there! So I received a call from Progressive Financial a week ago trying to get in contact with me and since they have called a couple more times and leave messages. I emailed them to give them my address so they could mail me what the debt is that I owe, how much I owe and how I can figure out to pay it off. My poor dad received a couple calls today from them asking for my info and they TOLD HIM I OWE DEBT and they were trying to collect it. Even though they have my number and now they have my address (which I was emailed back that I still need to call, ugh).

So I have written my cease and desist letter and emailed it. Then I emailed a follow up. I have not heard a response back but I only emailed it yesterday. Here is what I sent to Payday Services. I am trying to get my life straight and get out of debt. I have a card with Chase and I am over a year since my last payment to them. I know it has gone through a few different collection agencies and the one I was talking to today said that Chase won't accept an offer that is below a certain percentage of what is owed. I though collection agencies bought the debt, and they don't pay back to the bank. Is he bluffing to get more money or what?

I am pretty sure that these two PDL are part of the same company, I am just having a hard time tracking down their mailing address and phone number. Does anyone know it?

Hello my am 28yrs old and i will be buying my first house in the next 8 months. I have been trying to improve my credit to make it easy. My credit isnt good. my transunion is 547, experian is 603,my equifax is 514. i went to the bank a few months ago and took out a 6 month loan as well as a secure credit card. I have been making the payments on time but its not helping my scores much. I have a total of 5,400.00 in collections that are closed accounts. They are all med bills dating back to 2003.

Portfolio Recovery Associates is suing me. I tried to settle but they pulled the offer off the table when I insisted on something in writing before the money was taken out of my account. I guess I need a lawyer now. Anyone know of one, possibly familiar with these guys, in the Los Angeles area (Torrance courthouse)?
