I made the mistake of filling bankruptcy in 2007 and unfortunately was not made aware of all the other options. I thought that bankruptcy would make everything go away. God was I wrong. First thing is this, if you are filling bankruptcy MAKE SURE YOU INTERVIEW MORE THAN ONE ATTORNEY!!!!!!!!!!! I really screwed up and picked an idiot. I apologize to all the idiots I just insulted. This lady was a joke though. Anyway, my older brother recently bought a book that was written by Isaac Gould or Isaac Gold. Not 100% sure but he is an expert at educating people about their options.

does any one have an idea how long I can expect JB to report on my files without buying anything? They approved a 1800$ credit line but the cheapest thing is a 100 in their catalog. If I have to buy something, how often do I need to do this?

i disputed an item that was a couple of years old, for about 140$. two credit bureaus deleted them and collector had ignored my several CMRR letters to validate the debt. can I expect the item to reappear on my file? what can I do about this? thx

i applied today for secured applied bank card. gave them my bank account info so they can take out 200. they will within two business days make a small deposit so to verify my bank account. What is not clear is if they will take the money before I verify the account by telling them how much their deposit was? I would like to stop it because I discovered Wells Fargo secured with only 18$ yearly fee. Can I stop it now? how? thx!

Okay. I knew it was wrong. I did it anyway. I had blown some bill money and then of course needed to pay some REAL bills. I took out an internet payday loan through paydayservices.com. I googled their name to get their contact info to call and see if I can up the amount I am paying back. Thats what brought me to this site. Someone else's thread was saying that they sent letters to this company and they not only closed the account but gave a refund! I am wondering if this is possible in my situation.

I have thoroughly read through these forums but before I close my bank account and send out my letters I want to make triple sure I am doing the right LEGAL thing. I have 3 loans from the internet and I live in California. Eastside Lenders $700 borrowed (They say $910 due to a service fee) I pay $210 every 2 weeks to extend. NorstarCash $200 borrowed (They say $260 due to a service fee) I pay $60 every 2 weeks to extend. 500FastCash $400 (They say $520 due to a service fee) I pay $120 every 2 weeks to extend. i have a jeep from a buy here pay here and i pay 100.00 every 2 weeks, im a payment behind, so i took them 62.00 3 days ago, they gave me a reciept, and came to my work tonight and repoed it? should i call a lawyer?

Got this from a debt settlement co., do the schedule and amt of fees seem typical? I plan to get a couple more offers to see which turns out best but I wanted to know if this is a good basis of comparison. Any input is appreciated.
