a debt collector called from stephens and michaels associates: Caller ID: 866-201-0940 Caller: Stephens & Michael Associates i was in the process of running out the door to drop the kid off at daycare and didnt have time to talk. told him to call back on monday. i dont know why he called since i had never heard of this company before. i have done some research and know they harass people.

Has anyone ever heard of a company CRS? Oddly enough, yesterday after work, i received a voice msg on my home phone to which i never give out from some rep by the name of Veronica. She left a msg with only a 1-800 number and case number requesting that me or my atty need to call her back immediately. She didn't leave her full name or the company of which she work. I called the number back and again, no full name and you can barely understand the company name that she stated on her voicemail.

I received a voice message yesterday from a Neil Thomas (heavy India accent and lots of noise in the background) at National Affadvit Processing Center at 813-283-0611 requesting I call him back because my name a social security number were being entered for a lawsuit. Not only did I get the message my mother out of state was called too. I called him back this morning and he wasn't in but his "supervisor" answered. He informed me that I owed $300 to Cashco for an online loan in May 2008.

I have paid thinkcash over 1400.00 and still owe them 800.00 for a 750.00 loan, In the state of ky they are charging illegal interest , has anyone dealt with them over this issue and what was the outcome?

I am in the process of filing chapter 13. I have to pay the attorney his whole fee before the bankruptcy is actually filed. I still owe him around $1500 so it is going to take me awhile to get that paid down. I have made payments so he is officially "retained." I am still getting phone calls from payday lenders, mostly legal storefront ones, who are telling me that until I have a case number they still "have" to persue collections against me. The one today advised me to pay off my loan and take out another loan to buy myself more time to pay the attorney. Hahahaha.

My car was recently repoded for the 2nd time being that I've been laid off longer than expected. I was only down 2 payments, the rep with honda finance who was rude said I have to send those 2 payments in to bring loan current. I told them no problem as soon as the money is deposited in my account (which would take another 2 days) you got it. That was in the afternoon, that night I see my car going down the street! I only have 1yr left on the car they said I have to pay 7k to get it back. I also only have 4k in debt.

About two years ago my husband and I started the process of improving our credit by making timely payments, and not applying for any cards or doing anything that would affect further our credit history. However, as of today we still struggle with two collections, one his and one "mine".

I have two internet payday loans , one was originally 400.00 and one was originally 500.00 . I can't pay rent and keep gas in my car to get work with these payments coming out of the credit union acct every fourteen days! Can I close the credit union checking acct with a negative balance before they hit me again? I will pay off the negative balance with the credit union but i have to get the acct closed or froze now before it really gets out of hand. Help. I just stopped direct deposit into the acct and sent it to a prepaid visa. What next.

We currently have Wamu/Chase but want to change to someone else. We have a bankruptcy 2008 and our home is in forclosure now. We have not bounced anything in a year and even then, we paid it up within the week it happened. Question is: does the foreclosure and bankruptcy prevent us from opening a new checking account with another bank??
