collection agency sent my personal inf(leaese) to my former e mployer and addressed to my former employers atty who i had mentioned i was receiving advice in one of my letters. i have sent 4 letters and made 2 phone calls for proof of this apartment debt or deletion within 30 days for 16 months. all of the sudden i get a call from an employer where i worked 7 months ago because they received my personal info addressed to an atty that i told the agency i was getting advice, but never retained or authorized info to be sent. this agency had my address?

There are many organizations which defraud people seeking to discard debt, modify their loans or file bankruptcy. Jackson Crowder & Associates PA, Crowder Law Group, PA, both organized in FL, have presented themselves as a law firm qualified to operate from FL................THEY ARE NOT!! Additionally, the sales people trick people promise anything just to get money from unsuspecting callers...........and represent themselves as legal assistants, paralegals, etc.

i asked foraproof of debt from coll agency fn apartment{lease,id etc} after 3 letters a phone call.i was told there was no info--gave 30 days to delete--after 16 months my former employer received a copy of a lease sent t to one of our company attorneys that i had mentioned but never retained and info was opened and i was made aware of the debt from the previous employer and still have not received at my address that the collection agency has been sent many times--is this dislosure of personal information and should i ask the apartment to be deleted

I am just curious about something and wonder if anyone can give insight. Are contracts made with internet PDL's enforceable in court? Has anyone actually been taken to court for not complying with a contract entered into with an illegal PDL company and what was the outcome?

I received a letter from First National Credit Bureau today regarding a former account with a Credit Union in the amount of around $500. The charges were from overdrafts that the bank charged on a debit card. I was not the one who made the charges, someone else made the charges on the account! The account was closed by the bank sometime in 2005. I live in Georgia. Can they still collect on this account or is there anything i should do in this case?

I have been trying to send C&D letters to PayDayMax and Credit Protection Depot, who apparently is the collection arm of PayDayMax. However, when I try to send the letters by e-mail to the e-mail addresses that I have for both companies, they bounce back immediately. I thought that I might just have the e-mail addresses wrong, so I tried replying to the e-mail that I received today from Credit Protection Depot. It also bounced back. It looks like they are deliberately blocking e-mails.

does anyone know how to do it? thx!

I have 10 credit accounts totalling *edit* 53000 soon to be $45,500. Most are $2500, a few are $7000 and one is $14000, two are under $1000. Most say Account closed at credit grantors request. A lot say Purchased by another lender. Some say account charged off/written off. Last activity date is early 2008. My credit report says these will stay on file until 2014 to early 2015. I was already issued a summons by one that was listed as sold to another lender. For some reason two other CA's bought this one account, but only one sued. What can I expect?

Between me and my husband, we have 10 loans. :oops: Now he's been laid off from work and everything has crumbled. His PDL w/ACE hit our bank account and put us in the negative, so we went to our bank and sought help. They closed the account for us so no more PDL's would come out of that account, and we contacted all of our lenders to tell them we want to pay them but can't right now. I've been doing a lot of research here and found some great information, but I am perplexed by something.
