Going back to the middle of 2011, I have taken 22 separate payday loans. That's 22 new loans that I signed paperwork for. This doesn't count rollovers. I found this forum near the end of January of this year. I'm not totally cleaned up yet, but I definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel. Only 4 lenders made money on me. The rest, I had paid less than the full amount of principal borrowed, so I was able to settle for principal only.

I have been lately receiving calls from people whom say they are debt collectors from a debt from Oct 2003 from citi bank , on the first call I told them this was not my debt since I have never done business with them. I asked for a validation letter and was told that one was sent to an old address that I haven't used for over 10 years, I gave them my new address ( not sure If I had to or not ) and again requested a validation letter be sent to me, the person siad they didnt have to send me one and they were suing me and hung up on me .

So I got a collection call today from United Collections Recovery on behalf of JHS Marketing. Backstory: JHS Marketing is a payday loan I took out over the phone after they sent me an email when I filled out info online. At the time I took the loan I asked them if I needed to sign anything and they said no.

i recently reviewed my credit and noticed that PORTFOLIA RECOVERY ASSOCIATES has updated my payment history to make it seem like i made a payment to them in the past which is in fact not true. my question is how can i address this. i get the sense that can sue me now since it seems like that this "payment" changed the what was then an expired SOL on those debts. please reply .

Portfolio recovery associates recently reported that i made a payment on 2 accounts that they have been harrassing me for for the last 3 years or so. I had disputed in the past but no replys. my question is now it looks as if that i made a payment on both accounts . now this lvnv lawfirm is now harassing me. how can i get around this. those entries are clearly falso but how can i prove this? or am i doomed to be sued .

Washington state recommended that people vicitimized by these illegal pay day loan vendors go here to register a complaint and even though I am in PA they are illegal here as well. I had a judgement filed in 2008. Never received the 30 day letter. Just the you never showed up,we won. They won the judgement and the lawyer sued too and won 865.00 for his fees. They garnished 2 times. Then nothing. That lawyer died. Then 2 years ago I got a letter stating another CA has the judgement...1 year ago another bought it...and now last month another has it...offering from 6800 plus interest has a offer of 4600.00.

I had 4 pay day loans with the following companies: Lakota Cash American Web Loan extra cash live Advantage Cash on 10-18/2012 I did the 5 steps listed, closed bank account, sent the an email informing them of that my state(PA) prohibits PDL's and that all ACH will be revocted. and as of present day only 1 PDL (Lakota Cash) is still trying to collect, I have been a loyal customer for a long time they have gotten a pretty penny out of me ILLEGALY!, However they're still tyring to contact me via mail ,phone call etc.

So Advance Me Today decided to blow up my phone at work yesterday after I answered it. I told them I would only communicate through email and not to call my job again and hung up. They called non stop for the next 30 mins. What action can I take. I am in an illegal PDL state (NC) and have well paid te principle.

Is this companyt legit...they ask for upfront fee and would cut my payments to 3 loan companies in half....I need to know before I give them my personal information...
