right to speak with supervisor

I am pretty sure that I have read somewhere that you have the right to speak with a supervisor of a collections department employee. Does anyone know what part of federal law covers this? Isnt it a $1000 fine if they do not let you speak with a supervisor? Please let me know where to look for this information.

judgements

I'm one of those people that didn't respond to the collection letters and it did go to court and I have judgements against me. So now that they're considered valid is my only choice to try to settle with the collection company? Or can I still ask them for a debt validation letter?

Debt Consolidation Lawyers

About a year ago, my Sister was greeted at her front door by a person that hand delivered her notification for her Husband to appear in court regarding his outstanding credit card bill of $1,000.00. The person at the door did not disclose their name nor what company they were affiliated with and did not ask her name; pretty much just dropped off the notice and went on their way. The notice was NOT certified, did not have a raised seal from the state she did NOT have to sign for it and the form looked like anyone could have typed it up.

DEBT VALIDATION

Received a collection letter from a Asset Acceptance LLC for an alleged debit to NATIONS CREDIT So I sent them a DV letter They wrote back and said: {As a result of our investigation we are hereby denying that the information is inaccurate.} So I sent a FOAD letter. There response: They sent a page saying DEBT VALIDATION with the last 4 # of my Social my name and address. That was there validation. I am 99% sure it is SOL due Question if they continue to send letters what to do?

How to own a car that you hold title to as collateral for a loan

A friend is behind on his loan payments to me and wants to extend the due date. He is willing to give me the title to his truck. My question is, how do I get the truck if his loan is delinquent. I have title, but I don't have the truck.

When does the statue start is it the last it is reported on your credit report or from the last time a payment was made? A debt collecter bought some debts and has collected a couple times from me when I looked on my credit report he looks to be reporting on the last outstanding debt I have even though contact has not been made since 2003 all of a sudden he reported it to 2009. If this is the case how can the statue even be argued if debt collectors can do this any info will help. Thanks

e-payday-loan.com and getecash.com legal in Missouri?

Hi all, I have had a bunch of pdls for several months, and now they are starting to not clear. I'm wanting to settle them up and be done with them ASAP, but I have very little funds to do so. Reading this forum has given me many ideas, but I'm unsure where to start! Anyway, I just received NSF emails from e-payday-loan.com and getecash. Are these companies licensed in Missouri?

Careonecredit is a ripoff

I was contacted by Careone credit and they made me take up their service to settle my debts. I have been paying them since 6 months and now there is no response from them and they are not even trying to settle my debts. I have paid them almost 90 % of my debt amount and they say it is not possible to settle my debt. They are not even ready to return my money back.

Does anyone have experience with Discover Card? I am 5 months since my last payment. Owe around 15,000. I Have a debt collection letter from Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A. Columbus, Ohio. I lost my job about 6 months ago. There is no chance of getting it back due to the company going under.
