Hi - I posted the following under subject "debt info" & then remembered something else. Here's my original post, though...... I already have a judgment against me from Pressler & Pressler. It says "Discover Bank" & I do have an outstanding debt with Discover card. I somehow missed the letter P&P sent in Sept/Oct saying they were suing me, so I didn't answer that. P&P (or county court) then sent letter requiring info on my bank accounts, etc. (I didn't send it back).

Does anyone have an address or phone number for Instant Wages?

Is anyone familiar with this company? I saw a thread in which some say it is a company in the UK. However, I spoke with them today and got an address in Salt Lake City from them, although no one I have spoken with there has a "Utah" accent. The phone number I have for them is 800-620-8790, the same as I saw listed in the thread that said they were in the UK. Are they an illegal lender? I can't find them listed on the Utah DFI.

Hello everyone, registered at the suggestion of a friend who got helped on here, I also have a pdl problem and wanted some advice. Okay, heres what happened. I took a pdl out at a storefront Check N Go because it was close to my home. I started out small, got bigger until it hit the maximum, and had been paying it every two weeks when I got paid. My check was for $500.00, I paid a $75.00 fee, and got $425.00 back. Two weeks ago on Friday (last payday), I go by Check N Go kind of late to do the usual process and the woman that runs the place is standing in the door smoking all teary-eyed.

Hi everyone!!! haven't logged on in a while, but I had an interesting experience today that I wanted to share. For the last 6 years or so I was on a roller coaster, having 5 pdl's in kentucky. Finally, I defaulted on all of them. Of course I was deluged with phone calls, and one storefront even threatened me with legal action. No matter what i told them, they continued to call. Well, today i got a letter from one of them giving me until April 27th to pay up or they're going to small claims court.

I closed my checking account payments for pdl's were due today. How soon should I send out my letters and what letters do I need to send out or email? I want to cover all bases. I will be doing it this weekend if I have to.

I received a dunning letter from GC Services about a month ago. The had the AMEX account number correct but wrong name and account balance. I sent a validation letter to both their MO and TX office since they were both listed on the letter. I live in TX and here you have to be clear who is collecting. Anyway, I received my green cards back but so far no validation. They still have another week to reply. Today, I get another letter from GCS stating that their client is willing to settle for 65% of the balance and if I accept to send a money order to their office.

I have 4 internet payday loans that i have overpaid. I have closed my bank account to stop them from taking anymore money, but i want to send them a letter telling them that they are paid in full and i want to stop any further collection from them and my account closed. I don't even care or expect a refund, i just want it closed. Does anyone have sample letters i can send? Thanks

Has anyone had luck getting their mortgage lender to agree to forbear their mortgage for a specified period of time? If so, how? I've been dealing with Wells Fargo and despite the fact they sent me a letter saying that I had options to avoid foreclosure (including forbearance), when I talk to their representatives they act like they've never heard of it before. It's really frustrating.

Has anyone caught their mortgage or HELOC lender in RESPA or TILA violations? If so, what were they? And what was the response from your lender? Also, did you do it yourself, or pay an attorney or mod company to do a "forensic audit" of your loan documents?
