[size=3]Hello, I live in Oregon and have taken out a few loans in Washington.  I contacted the Oregon Division of Finance and Corporate Securities and they stated that, because these companies are not licensed in Oregon, they are illegal.  I only have to pay back the principal amount.

I have been told by a Brachfield & Assoc. rep. that if don't make a payment by the end of this month on a settlement I arranged, that they will garnish my wages right away. Will this really happen?  I did receive a summons earlier this year and have a couple payments already.. it's just this month that I have to pay less because of financial hardship.  They are being real difficult to work with and say there's nothing they can do for me because this is a court order and I need to pay or else.. PLEASE HELP!

I have looked at my credit report and its not that great as anticipated. I have received letters from WWR and LVNV Telling me about my debt. I'm pretty sure they bought it from WAMU/Providian. I will post the info below. My question is can I call the original creditor and ask them what they did with my account? Here is what It says on my credit report. It says balance 0. Would I ever have to pay them back since it says sold to another lender?

Does anyone get calls from RUTH CANNON 970-545-0860?  They leave no message and yet call my home quiet often.

Has anyone heard of this company?

I have 4 credit cards with Bank of America totalling $51,000.00.  My last payment was made at the end of December and I am unable to pay my minimums so I called them requesting a settlement.  They offered me a lump sum of $19,500.00 and said they could not go any further.  They did not ask nor want to know why I could not pay or want any specifics.  I advised them I did not have that kind of money and requested that they settle for 20%.

i just got a call from kevin at MACB  stating that they already contacted my hr dept. which im sure if they did, they would of told me by now (my hr dept) but can they really call your work and get personal info from your h/r dept and garnish your wages WITHOUT a court order

Just stopping in to say Hi to my forum friends.Been busy at work and may soon be looking for a job if our rig count goes any lower.I am still undecided on when I may start moderating again as I grew very tired of baby sitting and being examined for my every action. I will be around looking over things for now.

I received a summons in the state i WORK in for court in the state i work in over a beneficial loan that i dont even think is mine. The state i live in now and always have lived in has a 4 year sol on prommisary notes but the state i WORK in is 6 years and it would still be valid. i called the clerks office and they told me they dont have answer forms, wont help me fill them out and that they only take a copy of my answer... can somone please help me should i get a lawyer?
