Took out a payday loan from ACE Cash Express about 2 months ago. Didn't have enough money to pay as my wife lost some of her wages so I put a stop payment on the check. They kept calling me to threaten me. They called my references and gave them all my private information even telling them how much I owe.. They are threatening to call my supervisor even referred to her by name. I am not sure how they got that name. Is there anything I can do to prevent them from calling my supervisor and other co-workers. They threatened to call all my supervisors to 'verify employment'. I am in Ohio.

To anyone who is interested you can settle these paydays loans on your own without Langhorne, Town and Country,PDL or any other consolidation places out there. All my loans were from the internet and all were for $500 or more.

A collection agency company claiming to own my cc account is suing me but I can't find them anywhere on my CR. No even in the inquiries section. Why? Is this normal?

I live in Oregon. Can a payday lender from Oregon or Washington press charges against me for a bad check if I close my bank account?

Thanks to everyone on this wonderful board I've decided to cancel my plan with Langhorne and do it on my own. I live in NC so I think I am at some advantage due to the fact that they are all internet loans and illegal in my state. Could someone please tell me how the following lenders are to deal with. I'm nervous about this but I feel confident that I can do it. I have a sample letter that was provided on the board that I have used to mail/fax out.

I'm looking to clean up my credit report, and am 100% sure I need a professional to help with this. However, I'm not at all sure what I should be looking for!!! My score is atrocious (in the high 400's), mostly due to older collections stuck on my credit report. I just got my student loans rehabilitated and back in current status, YAY!, but the biggest thing haunting me at the moment is a court judgment in a rather large amount. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

hello! hopefully someone can help me regarding my situation. i come home today and my mom tells me i have to call some 866 number because i am being summoned for court along with my next door neighbor. i get more info. from my brother who took the message and he says i am being summoned for court along with my friend. he said he tried to get more info. from the caller but the caller just hung up on him. i called the 866 number but nobody answered, not even an automated voice that says what company im calling. it just said "the party you are calling is unable to pick up.

I received a summons from atlantic credit, and reached an agreement with the lawyer that is representing them. They sent me a stipulation which states that as long as I make the payments they will not enter judgement against me. My question is do I still file answer with court what is the form I need to use as in the answer form it asks me to state what things I agree with from the complaint and what I dont agree with. I agree with everything I know its my debt I just want to let the court know and give them proof of the agreement I made with the lawyer's office.
