I have a credit line with BOA that Im trying to settle but I also use them as my bank. My question is can BOA see the money thta is in my BOA account and if so Where is a safe place that they can't see it. I did have an account at a different bank but scared they can ask for that info or do I even have to give it to them...... Thanks for the help

Hi, I have a quick question. I have a couple old credit card debts that I defaulted on and one of them currently has a garnishment on my wages. I am self employed and also work elsewhere, but now that the economy has slowed down, my own business has suffered dramatically and I rely soley on my outside job. I am thinking of filing for Bankruptcy because I can no longer keep up on payments for anything. My credit score is already ruined as it is. Anyway, if I file for BK, will this remove all the old credit card debts I owe?

Does anybody know on my taxes, if I charge something for the business on a visa or mastercard but it is not paid off can I take it off on taxes as an expense?

Hello, I just received a writ for wage garnehment and assets in the mail the other day. The thing is, I was never served with anything, so I did not go to court over this. I knew this company or law firm had been calling me and sending me letters for money that I owed on an old credit card. However, this law firm never served me any official court papers to appear in court for this judgement. Now the papers they sent me the other day say that a judgement was entered against me in December and they are going to start garnishing my wages.

I just saw a ad for the show "Inside Edition" for Monday's show they are tracking down someone who cheated folks out of money instead of settling their debts as promised...Not sure who it is but it looks like its gonna be a good one.

I have personal loans and credit cards that I want to settle so they can stop hounding me. What's the best way to accomplish this? I am a self employed person whose money is tight. Tell me what I need to do to get out of the mess that I am in.

I'm in the process of filing ch.7. Wanted to know can I file 2008 tax returns before I receive discharge.

I am trying to help someone with back taxes. The IRS has given him 30 days to submit 8 years of tax returns. He can't afford a CPA let alone what he is going to owe for the back taxes. He has nothing so this may be a mute point but I am trying to do the best I can. I don't understand some of the things on the tax forms but think that there is some deduction he can take on line 5 of schedule A. He has enough deductions that year to do itemized deductions. He had almost 10000 in mortgage interest. The house is going to be foreclosed on now but that year he had it.
