Anyone have luck with goodwill letters and if so, what were the circumstances? I had a hardship where I'm showing mortgage lates and really need them removed.

Hi there! I'm back after working the rehab and going through all the history. A few questions please: 1) I noticed that on the NDLS database, my interest rate is one amount while on the copy of the Prom Note I received, it's 2% lower. Does DOE up the interest rate when the loan goes into default? Did I miss some small print that had me agreeing to random increases in interest rates for XY or Z? 2) I signed the rehab agreement thing and the first payment came out as scheduled. I just received another rehab agreement thing with an authorization form to debit my card for the payment.

I am an international college student in the US.. and due to some miscalculation messed up on my college payments. After all the money i get from my shcolarship and money from my parents I am still $250 for books. There are no jobs available on-campus and also it is illegal for me to work off-campus. I used to earn good money from my tennis lessons but i cannot play now as i just got a surgery done. If anyone has any ideas just pass it on.. i have sold of my extra books and stuff...

I have a chase card that has a $1,500 limit, and I haven't been able to make the minimum payments, so my min payment went from $38 to a $537 min payment because I stopped paying. My balance is now $1,787. My apr was also moved up to 29.99% I am now 36 days past due. I just received my tax return and I'm hoping that they will settle the account at around 35% if I give them about $650 cash all at once. Is this realistic? (I know this doesn't seem like a huge balance, but it's one of many cards I have, and I really don't make that much) Thank You

anyone know anything about creditors exchange? they say they are a group of lawyers who bought some debt of mine that was written off by a credit card company. i have read a couple of things about them and they werent good. HELP!!!

Hi, First I will give you a little of my background--I am married and a mom of 3 young children. Family income is about $55,000/year. CC debt: $7500, car loans $17,000 (2 cars), and a mortgage. Over the past 6 months we fell into a hardship and this caused many lates to report on our credit reports, even the mortgage. We want to refinance our car loans, and possibly get a new home within the next year. Unfortunately, we can't even get a new credit card with the lates on our credit reports!!!

does anyone know of a central location to find the addesses bankruptcy filings need to be mailed to? its differetn frmt he payment address and apparently very hard to find. seems like there should be a list somewhere of the major credit card company addresses for legal matters
