I've received a call from Credigy on behalf of Frontline Asset Strategies, who know apparently own a debt with Discover. The card goes back to the mid-2000s but there was a court judgment , which I wasn't present for, in 2013. What is the correct SOL?

Owing to young age and not having adequate financial knowledge, I messed up my finances. I had acquired quite a significant credit card debt from my college days which I’m still struggling to fight and pay back. Once I met a financial adviser who suggested me to file a bankruptcy but my parents tell me that doing so, I’ll not be able to buy a home as I will not get a loan in the future. Moreover, my credit score will drop. Wondering what will be my credit score be after bankruptcy. Even if I have to file one, how to improve credit score after Chapter 7 or 13.

I am a bit confused. I get to see that even if payday loan is legal in my state, last week I came to know that my pdl is illegal. Can it happen?

I keep getting a call from a collection agency located in California though they never identify themselves they just threaten to file court summons if I don't settle a Payday loan which I never took out though they claim I did in 2009 from some place called Cash Central which isn't located in San Diego . I tried asking for him to send me the paperwork that shows I did this but he just kept over speaking me, demanding I pay some outrageous fee of 800 but the loan he said was 200 or get an attorney because I committed check fraud. What should i do now?

i have to find out if i can stop ach debits from pdl companies that i need to stop taking payments every 2 weeks. also if they are legal in florida? how would i do that? my account is in the negative because of this and ive banked at my credit union for almost 15 years and dont want to ruin it.
