Quick question what exactly is wage assignments?????

Okay I just rcvd in the mail a letter from RJM Acqusitions stating that they purchased an account and they are giving me 3 options to pay on this account. I have no idea where they got this account and/or how it is connected to me. I was reading over the letter and it states that I have 30 days to submit a dispute otherwise if I don't send a dispute they will say the account is mine. Can they already report this on my credit reports???? Or do they have to wait to see if I dispute it???

I was going to write a letter to MyCashNow revoking my PDL but when I went to their website I saw the following at the bottom of their contact page: Quote:

Even though I have been told that PDLs are illegal in the State of CT where I live, I don't see it listed on

I was able to get my federal loans consolidated, does anyone know a company that can do my private loans?

Hi,I've just got an account with resqdebt on january 3.I was told that it would take 2 days for them to settle my other credit cards but they haven't done anything until now.After reading some of the complaints about this company, I would like to cancel it.I've talk to them but didn't want to cancel my account with them.I'm thinking about closing my bank account and get a new one.Can anyone please help me what to do.This company is so stressing me out..I appreciate the help.Thank you

I checked my credit report out of curiosity the other day. I know I have a debt for the balance(it was sold) & fees on a repo'd car from 2007 & wanted to get a date on the first payment made. Strangely there were 18 'missed payments' reported from a payment arrangement I supposedly made with them. I've never spoken with anyone from any company or had mail contact since the day I had to call them & tell them to pick it up. I plan on filing bankruptcy later this year since they seem to have tacked on another 8k in 'interest'.

We were sued by Pottsville Financial Loan Company for a past loan that we were not able to pay. We lost one of our incomes and can barely afford to cover living costs. We survive only on my ssi disability. We have no defense and did not appear in court. More than likely a judgement was placed against us. I have no property, no assets, savings, or anything else of value. In the worse case scenario what action could they take to collect for this debt?

We live in Pa and my wife has past medical bills from 2005 before we were married. The Capio Partners from Sherman Tx is trying to collect on this debt. We survive (barely) on my SSI disability. Has the sol run out on these debts? If not when will the sol run out if at all? Because we do not have the funds to pay on or pay off this debt.
