Payday loans have ruined my life. I have 4 right now but one is really overdue. I paid one part of the actual loan back...but then I just didn't have the money so I just stopped. They threatened me and so on so I made payment arrangements. I paid one part back..the next time westernunion didn't accept my payment...I called and they made a new arrangement and now I sit here with no money.

So anyway, i had my court date, Capital One (c/o Finkelstein in Knoxville, TN) vs. me and the judge didn't grant them a judgment. It started off with about 30 people being sued by Finkelstein, early in the morning, one of their attorney's requested all debtors to step outside and negotiate a settlement. When it was my turn, their settlement requirements were 80% of the total amount. I immediately scoffed at that. When i spoke to the Marvin, the debt "supervisor," he said we could pay 2850 in a 30 day period. I told them this was a no go.

Hi. I have several online pdl's out at this time and I am having severe difficulty with paying the fees that are required. I live in the state of Ohio and in November, the pdling laws in Ohio became the most strictest laws against pdling companies in the country. I have read the other blogs and suggestions regarding closing out bank accounts so that the ACH debits will cease. Is the online lending companies illegal in the state of Ohio now that the lending laws have changed drastically? Thank you for your advise.

Here is my problem. My father had an account with us bank. I was added to it because he was not able to manage his money properly. Now he is deceased and the account is on chexsystems as "abuse" or "fraud" and I don't know what to do? Am I screwed? It has a balance of -1300!

I do have debt out there but I don't want to call back I don't want to handle any more stress at this present moment. with the hoildays, sick children and fear of spouse losing job due to auto bailout fail. I'm just wanting to know who and what they are collecting for ?
