My son just recieved a letter stating "this letter is to inform you that the judgement rendered against you on behalf of a prior owner of the underlying account has been sold to our client". The letter came from Richard J Bourdeau's office. So does this mean I can try to settle this account???

HI, I had a lawyers office called CNG call me to tell me that they will garnish my wages, revoke my liscence and registration under title 36 of federal something. I do not deny owing the payday loan, but they want this money by the end of November, but my situation does not allow it. I mentioned to him that i could not pay this, because my husband is not working and i have a whole lot of problems. Then he said well i am sorry i am not going to waste your time so i am going to have to go through with this title 36 law. Could they do this to me? I am worried.

my husband took out a loan from a high interest loan company because we were in dyer need. we were keeping up the payments and occasionally paying more to pay this debt off we almost payed them off, only owing about $235.00 additional dollars, until my husband lost his job! now we owe them $2000.00 and they say they have issued a body warrant out on him, and will hold him in jail into his court date. Is that legal? can they do that, they used to do that a long time ago when they had debtors prison but i dont think yhat is no longer legal. Is it?

I was just told by another consolidation co that per the law I can only get assistance from a non-for profit organization no a consolidation co. Is that accurate?
