I live in ohio and I have a loan with Great Plains for $600. I have since paid $515. They still have me down for 8 more payments at 121.37 each. Is Great Plains a legal lender in the state of ohio and I'd not what do I do next? Thanks!

Hello,

If my checking account on Bank 1 is being hit for a $5000 garnishment, but there is only $1500 there, what happens to the remaining $3500 they are looking for?

Does it remain attached to Bank 1, waiting for funds to be deposited, or will they move it to Bank 2 and attempt to get it from there?

I have tried numerous times to register and it always says that the email is already in use. I have tried 5 different emails and the same thing. I really would like to register so that I can answer questions and post replies. Every reply I have done has not been posted. I have 2 questions that have never been posted and have no responses. Please either register me or send me the correct way to register. NO PERSONAL INFO.contact jason,or vikas but putting your personal info and making demands will get you nowhere.  pm

Hello I just called a company that offered to help remove the default off of my student loans, they required a fee I'd 499.00 to remove the debt,  they also said that I would not have to pay an upfront cost, is that a normal procedure for student loan default companies?

I have 4 payday loans. I keep paying 390 every two weeks and I am BROKE. I can't pay my bills, and have only been paying interest-- please help!

I am in PA & the info is as follows.

Lender 1: OPD Solutions (they email me as CWB Services).  I borrowed 300 and have paid back $270.00.

Lender 2: Ashland funding (they email me as Crestwood Marketing).  I borrowed 400 and have paid back $720.

Lender 3: GTI Holidings. I borrowed 300 and have paid back 180.

I had signed up with a debt settlement company for around 5 months. They never paid anyone and I canceled their service.  I contacted all of my creditors and made arrangements to catch up with the payments with all  of them ( They are all up to date except one Capital One and they are working with me.  I tried to talk to Wells Fargo explained what happened but they said there was nothing they could due unless I paid the full overdue balance which I could not.

Hello I need some advice. I have several PDL's and found they are not licensed in OH where I reside. 2 are off shore companies. Loans were for 400$, I have paid at least 600$ on them each. I faxed letters stating I found they are illegal in my state and I only owe principle. I feel the debt has been fulfilled. Does this sound like I did the right thing? Any advice what to do next because they are not cooperating. Keep demanding payments. Thank you

I have found lots of info on this site about illegal payday loans but not much about legal ones. I have multiple payday loans I am trying to get paid off. Most were taken out at storefronts but a couple were done online. All have defaulted and I'm getting collection calls. I'm going to have some extra money pretty soon and want to negotiate paying these off and preventing them from being listed on my credit or being sued. Are there any links that have info on how to negotiate with legal PDL's?

a man called me claiming to be an attorney. he said that there was a warrant out for my arrest because I was being sued by a pay day loan company. Here's the thing, I never received money from any lender. as a matter of fact, i asked them not to call me anymore. so he prceeded to say that i had to pay 896.00 via western union in 1 hr. i told him i would not b able to do so. he then asked what would i be able to pay and when. he said i had a certain time to pay a certain amount of money or my case would be "downloaded" and my social security number and name would be given to local newspapers.
