geez, three tries to get this in the right forum. Hello, I am currently in settlement on my internet loans, three of which are legal and licensed in California. However the other three I know are not legal in any form. I would like advice on how to handle this, as I was in a PDL consolidation program but they failed miserably. I am in settlement with two of them (Papercheck Payday Loan, ameriloan) and have not contacted VIP Cash yet (that is for $500, already paid 3x in interest).

I received a judgement from the court from a previous creditor(a credit card company) I know North Carolina doesn't allow for wage garnishments without a judgement, but I was wondering if they can garnish my wages with a court judgement? What about personal property like a car I own, 401K, etc? Thank you

OK, I'm really steamed! I just got my car insurance renewal and was looking it over. On the very front page, there was this little note explaining that they couldn't offer me a lower rate due to the fact my credit was bad. Has anyone else experienced this? I guess I'm just a little angry about the fact that we, the taxpayers, have to bail out insurance companies and financial service companies to the tune of 700 billions dollars.

Has anyone ever heard of creditors exchange?

I was signed up with sifxpert but, am now trying to settle my own accounts thanks to this site. I been an avid reader for many months now. I am right at the charge off period where I am going down the list to see who with settle for what. I will not be able to settle all them at this time so I have to choose. My question is does anyone have any feedback as to which of these CC's I should really focus on to get settled now vs. which ones would be okay let go and settle at a later date.

***Please read this entire post if you are considering using a debt settlement company to alleviate your PDL/CSO loans.*** I have 17 PDL's, currently, worth $5,795 if I pay them off w/ no interest or fees, or $7,608 if I paid each one off w/ the applicable fee tomorrow. If I only paid my renewal fees, plus one loan from Green Picket that has to be paid back IN FULL each time, it would be $2,776.

Does anyone know if companies actually check candidates credit score before offering a position?

they called even though i have sent emails, should i send more? I had a loan for $200 have pd them $240 and they say i still owe them over $300??!! shouldnt i be done with them or will they not leave me alone?? thanks # they had me call was 866-489-0979

oops....question 2 On my credit report I have 10 or more entries for the college loan companies. I thought I had consolidated my loans? Only 2 of them have balances by them. What should I do to clean this up? Is there a way to only have one listing? I'm not sure why / how there is so many anyhow. thanks. :)

Just 2 quick questions: How do student loans affect my credit? I have been working on paying off my cr. card debt, but my st. loans are significant. Will this hurt my credit in the same way as credit card debt? All of my loan payments have been on time. Thanks!
