My husband was served a petition last week. I understand that i immediately need to answer to avoid default judgment, I’m just not sure I’m smart enough to do it properly.
Honestly, the petition is quite short it reads:

I have been sending my letters to the lenders and some have actually said that they marked my account paid in full. Now i live in New York and this PDL company that i emailed a few times with my letter i found on this site wrote back this: Ive paid about $1000 for a $600 loan.
I have managed to get a paid in full from American WEB Loan but trying to get a refund from them is close to impossible. Not sure how I should proceed with their latest response. I have overpaid them by $1200 and they are illegal in the State of Michigan.

I took out a loan from Payday Loan Services (PLS) last year to help pay rent and I was later laid off from my job and I am now collecting unemployment The attorney that is handling the case recently placed a levy on my bank account which was already in the negative.
