Is it possible to have a creditor take something off of your Credit Report after you pay it? I have things that I want to pay and have them agree to take it off permenatly and I plan to have it all in writing also.

They purchased an account that I owe and sent me a letter asking of course for payment. Does anyone know if they have a reputation of working with you to lower the amount owed? I am currently paying off my Discover card at 40% and can't afford anything else until it is done in December.

I live in Massachusetts. I have 9 payday loans. 5 of those I know I have paid off the principle, if not more in monthly payments. I am just about to sign up for Oakview Law. They probably wont be able to stop any withdrawals before Sept. 30th. I assume. Is there anything I can do to stop some of these ACH withdrawals without closing my Bank Account. I know if all 9 make there withdrawals I will not be able to pay my rent. Thanks

my husband and i took some payday loans out in 2006 he lost his job so we closed the account. im unsure how much it was . i dont even remmber how many there were, i dont remmber what companys we even went though, i know they were all though internet, im in indiana, and get a phone call telling my huband if he dont pay them 300.00 within 24 hours he will goto jail for fraud. we sent them 100.00 today, he is so scared he couldnt even think right, i called him at work telling him about this site, and he still thinks he will goto jail. what steps can i take now? how do i find out what we owe?

how do you find out if the pdl company is legal or not? And can they report it to the credit bureaus? I live in TX

I had a $200 loan that I defaulted on, they already had taken $60 out of my account previously. I contacted them and explained the laws and how illegal they are to lend in my state. The guy placed me on hold to talk to his manager and he gets back on the line and says "ok, we'll settle for $140 and close the account". Beautiful!!!!! So, if you call any of these pdl's that you may owe and explain the laws and the fact that they have to abide by them, they WILL COMPLY.

Does any one have the contact information for BIG ACH? They are debiting my checking account but I have no number to reach them.

Hello Everyone. I'm looking for advice or possible similar circumstances somebody else might have dealt with and what the resolution and approach was. In a nut shell, I have an Auto Lease through Wells Fargo for an extravagant car which I can't make payments on anymore. My previous employer, which was a family business, majority owned and operated by my Aunt, which I thought did very well financially filed CH11 in Aug-07 and was dissolved in Feb-08.

I followed some advice I read on this page, and so far 1(still have 7 to go) pdl company replied, very nicely, agreed to take payments via mail, with a check . I was being told no one would make new payments or take payments in the mail. I used the template stating that they were Illegal and not liscensed in Minnesota. Awesome, Thanks so much, Yesterday I sent C&D and so far all correspondence has come through email . But the monies aren't due out until tonite so we will see.

Some creditor keeps calling my Mom on her cell phone to get a hold of me! How can I get them to STOP calling her!
