Has anyone worked with US debt settlement? I have been contacted by them through a debt solutions website referral. Of course, the program sounds good, but I was wondering if anyone has personal experience with them.
I am in Illinois and the lending law says the limit on PDL's is 2, I have 6. Is there any responsibility on the part of lenders 3,4,5,6.
Was it legal for them to lend me money?
Hi, I am looking for some information about consolidating different debts. My debts are in 3 categories. I have a school loan debt, an I.R.S. debt and then various smaller debts, Credit card, health club, phone etc... All together its about 13 different debts. Is it even possible to consolidate all of these debts together? I dont want so many bills. Thanks in advance for the advice.
Hi everyone.
I am wondering if anyone has ever heard of/received a call from "the fraud division of CCB." I received a voicemail stating they are calling due to allegations involving my name and social security number. They also called a friend of mine and stated that she was listed as a reference. I am pretty sure this "attorney's office" is somehow linked to a payday loan company, as the calls did not start until I sent my letter demanding my refund and notifying these companies that they were not legal to lend in the state of Indiana, etc., etc.
I am In NY and have 13 pdls out. I can not afford the payments and dont know what to do. All my money from my 2 jobs goes just to pay the loans. I have borrowed from every friend and family member just to be able to feed my kids. I dont know where to turn. Can some one give me the name of a good bank that I can borrow from so I can pay these people off. One of my loans was for 350.00 and I have already paid 2100.00 on it
I messed up sooo big! I have been using our checking account in the worst way all year, and have been using our overdraft "protection" as our own personal little payday loan. Literally I have been overdrafting our account every week until we hit the 1500 maximum. And paying $30 fees for everything that overdrafted. I refuse to add up the amounts, I know it is in the thousands.
This week my bank revoked the overdraft protection due to abuse.
My husband filed chapter 13 prior to our marriage (1 1/2 years ago). Now that we are married, the means test says he is eligible for chapter 7. I have a LOT of credit card debt and was considering filing chapter 7 myself. Would we need to file seperately due to him changing his from 13 to 7? I'm just not sure of the best way to go about this. My debt is just driving me crazy and we are really struggling to pay his chapter 13 payments and my credit card payments. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
I have been posting on here for a few months. I got myself into a bad situation with 3 pdls. Two legal and one illegal with MCN.
In any case, I had taken out a $1000 and paid $824 in fees. I finally called them today and asked to talk to a supervisor. I basically said, I found out recently that you guys are operating illegally and I want to be responsible for the principle only. He said you have to pay what you legally owe us plus fines etc.
