Does anyone have any information on Resqdebt? Are they legitimate? Has anyone done business with them>

I have a debt with what used to be AT&T Universal Credit Card. Unifund bought the old debt, according to what my debt settlement company says. Unifund states that the balance on this old debt is over $30,000 (from $11,000) and that they will only settle for 80% of the new balance. The debt showed up about a year ago on my report. Now this debt doesn't show up on any of the 3 credit reports! What does this mean? Could the SOL have expired and now I don't owe them?

I have been giving cashnetusa $100 a month through my debt consolidation program. The last payment I was a little late but I sent messages to everybody. Well back in June I revoked their authorization to debit my account and put a hard hold on my account. They even tried to debit my block account a few times before I made the payment arrangements. Since July they have been getting monthly payments from me. I went back to using my account thinking it would be cool cashnet agreed to the payments...WRONG.

Unifund, the company that bought my credit card debt, will only settle with my debt settlement company for 80% of the balance after fees and interest. So what used to be an $11,000 credit card debt has become a $30,000 debt to Unifund. I have been approved for an unsecured loan from my local credit union for $16,000 and the rest I have saved in trust at the settlement company to pay Unifund this week. My question is would I save more money if I tried settling the debt with Unifund directly (with a payment plan) than to pay the interest on the bank loan at 11.57%?

Back in June we applied & received our FREE credit report from all 3 companies. Shortly after that I began to receive a phone calls from NCO stating we had an outstanding debt from 1999 with MCI. I was fairly sure we had paid that all off but did not have any records so I called MCI & they told me that no we did not owe, we were in good standing & what not. They recommended I get a debt letter from NCO. I have repeatedly requested this from NCO & only recently received the letter. I re-called MCI & now they say “Oh Yeah you owe.

Wow... there is hope out there for people who have a loan with impactcash. I just called them to complain that Florida has a statue of limitation on the interest, and Ive been paying more than that (paying since June08) on $350.00 loan. Well, they just started paying down, which I had a balance of $325.00. When I called to complain, I was transferred to the legal department. I spoke with a lady named Emily, and WOW, she was SUPER NICE! She said after I told her the laws in Florida, that since I have paid every installment on time, never missed one time, THEY ARE CLOSING MY LOAN!!!

You should grow up i was looking for imformation so i could prove with out a doubt that i was not the only one that got scammed this company ruined my life and it has cost me thousands in attorney fees but it is like flogging a dead horse but i will not give up and i knew everything about the desist and refrain order from california but was looking for more so that someone would listen at last so i think i have had one big learning experience and grew up from it thank you very much

I had a citibank student loan that defaulted. I get a call today for the first time from a lady from DCS with a phone number of 209-858-3612. She told me that I had a balance due of $6,900 and how did I plan to pay that today. I told her I do NOT have an extra 6 grand laying around and could I set up payments. She said sure no problem she would just have to fill out a financial application. So she starts asking basic questions about my income etc.

Anyone know the difference?

Has anyone dealt with this collection ageny about there payday loans?I just recieved 2 seperate letters for 2 seperate balances from them and all it says its for lvnv.Its for 2 of my payday loans i am sure just don't which.Has anyone here dealt with them how should i handle this what should i do.Since they are payday loans and i am in new york and its illegal here can this collection agency do anything.Can they sue me for this.someone please help.Thanks.
