I have a bill from a utility company that went into collections.

I have 3 payday loans out all with a prinicpal of $300 (Cashadvance network, Impact Cash and The Loanshop). the fees paid are $460, $450, and $450 respectively. I live in KY and I am having a hard time paying these back. I've been briefing reading through and decided to check KY's law on payday loans, it says "A licensee or its affiliate shall not for a fee renew, roll over, or otherwise consolidate a deferred deposit transaction for a customer.". Am I correct to say that I can also write letters saying that I have paid the loans off through my fees?

Ok, so life got in the way - single mom struggles and such - student loans were the least of my troubles, and I stuck my head in the sand about them for an embarrassing amount of time. I still currently have some major financial issues that I am dealing with that are just more important than the student loans...a housing crisis, for instance...but at least I have a steady job. Had a bankruptcy, was breathing a bit after the stay stopped the garnishment and offset, and again stuck my head in the sand while trying to make sure there was food and a home. So...my question.

I have over $32000 of unsecured debt that I am currently paying off through Care One Credit. I have been on the program for over a year. Recently I had to skip two payments (not in a row) due to unexpected move and job change. I received a call on Friday from Valentine and Kebartas (collection agency), indicating Chase has sent one of my accounts ($7800) to them. They offered me a settlement with some monthly payments over the next six months. There is no way I can do this or come up with the money. They said they will not work with Care One since the payments are too small.

So far I have sent ACH revocation by e-mail over the weekend. This morning as soon as USPS opens the certified letters go out. At noon I go talk to my bank. I cant close my account (it's in the negative) so I called them (Friday), explained the situation and they said to come in today (Monday) and talk to them. I have checks out that are going to bounce because of these loans, so I hope they can suggest something. Thanks, for being here I don't know if I could go through this alone. Debby

About four months ago I was called by a collection agency only to find that my SS# did not match the SS# of the debtor and was not bothered by this agency again. Now, four mon.s later I've received a "PayNow" letter from yet a another collection agency concerning the SAME acc. My plan is to answer this letter, and any future mailings concerning this acc., with a Notarized letter stating the last 4 digits of my SS#. My question is will this be enough to continually stare these peope to the right person, or alteast, away from me (the wrong person of the same name).
