I have been on this site for some time trying to straighten out my bills. My daughter also has some financial issues. NCO had been calling the house for her nonstop. I finally sent them a debt validation letter and asked they not call anymore and that all communication be in writing. She got a letter back from NCO saying they were closing the account in their office. In the subject line it just listed Capital One. She has not paid the account nor does she have the ability to do so right now. I am worried about what this letter means. Does this mean they are getting ready to sue her?

hi, a legitimate payday advance company in MI charged me 3times the amount of my loan as a penalty for a check being returned and defaulting on the loan without repaying.they won a judgment for the amount under the bad check laws. i read somewhere that those laws do not apply to payday advance transactions from someone in the government. i can't find that article on the MI gov. website but it's somewhere.

Well it all started when I was 18 years old, I got my first card with a $500 credit line. I was in college and well I ended up getting about 7 cards, big mistake. I am shy and have a stutter, well this led to buying professional sporting tickets to NFL, NBA games racking up debt to make friends in college. I basically bought my friends by inviting them to these games. This is one of the few things that made me happy, I love sports and didn't want to feel miserable being alone all the time.

I got a call from them and they sound good. I looked them up on the BBB and they have a satisfactory record and it says they hold a License with The State of Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Just wanted to see if anyone has dealt with them.

I have so many times seen how people wished that the OC’s would have offered pennies on the dollar to them to settle the debt, but you also must understand that these debts are sold in huge portfolios. NOW wouldn’t it really stick in the JDB’s craw if a large group of consumers banded together and formed a non profit corporation who then went and bought up these portfolios and then offered to sell them to the original owners of the debt for the same price?

after you pay off all debts, will any inquiries into your credit show late or slow payments? is your record wiped clean,completely? what does this do to your current score?

Since paydaymax is not here in the states..does that make it illegal? I took a loan out for $300 and their creditors (CDP) say I over almost $1000. Does anyone have any advice??
