I had filed for chapter 13 since I made too much money for Chap. 7. Well, my trustee has changed my minimum payment 3 separate times, starting at $464 and the most recent was $1500. I had been with a debt settlement company last year but was paying so much and it was so slow that I decided Chapter 13 would be better. Well, now it has been dismissed and confirmation denied, so I am really in a mess. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what avenue I should take. I am thinking of returning to a debt settlement and have been looking into some of the companies I've seen on this site.

Has anyone heard of this company or had any dealings with them? I looked on BBB but I wanted to hear from a person. Thanks

Congrats to all the new HOF, mods. and happy birthday to all that I have missed while I was gone. I need to explain to you all why I was gone, most of you know that I was busy earlier this spring. Well all went great until a couple months ago. Again most of you know that I was having problems with headaches. Well after going through tons of tests last week, we found out what is causing them. First of all I was getting tension AND migrains at the same time. Thats why they were so bad. But what brought me to the doc.

I am going trough some very hard times right now and I am thinking of just taking the easy way out. I just need to know if I file for BK what will happen to my house and two cars that I have on my credit report? Please advise...

Check this out! I have finally received my first PIF! I sent a version of a letter that was given in this forum, make a few edits to it, told them that i overpaid and that in lieu of demanding a refund (and of course the fact that i exposed them directly in writing as operating illegally in my sate), i would be willing to leave them alone, as long as i received a PIF, and it worked! You people on this site are AMAZING and have helped me begin to put the pieces back together! ESPECIALLY GOUDAH!

First I would like to say I am glad I found this site! I feel so much better knowing I am not alone. I have a question I hope someone can answer. If I send ACH revocation letters will the PDL companies abide by them? And if not what do I do then? Debby

I am attempting debt settlement with my credit cards. I haven't started the process yet. This card is only 21 days late and they call daily. ($14,000 balance) They seem pretty aggressive. Does anyone have information to offer me on this credit card. Are they likely to settle? I know I need to wait until around 90 days.

hello, i have some outstnding loans as well as some credit cards. boy did make such a mess of credit it's not even funny and the sad part is, i rack up debt trying to GET out of deb and pay a payment here and there now my credit is in the toilet.. my question is what is the best course of action to get these paid off and out of my life along with the payday loans? i don't make enought on my job after what i pay monthly for utilities and my loan with the credit union and gas and parking and to get me through the week, thes is not a lot left over.

how exactly does wage garnishment work? I know they go by your disposable income but what does that mean??? Thanks~
