I went to pick up my mail yesterday at the UPS store, near my house where my husband and I receive mail from my business and the attendant gave me two different letters for a summons on a business loan done in 2001 in NJ with First National Bank, now Wachovia, where my husband was personal guaranty of it. Is legal in the state of Florida for a lawyer to serve a summons in a UPS Store, where the clerk had a bunch of certified letters from other customers together with my husband's social security number, drivers' license and personal information available to anyone to see?. i have called 2 of my pdl and little loan shoppe waited till i begged and gave 2 options, one to pay at later date or another to make monthly payments and send them in mo to them. I was sooo excited, but at first he said i was such a new loan there was nothing they could do. the other i called was ameriloan and i found out littleloan shoppe and ameriloan are not authorized in mich. Anyway ameriloan said they cant do anything unless im deliquent so to not let my next payment go through then i could do arrangments!! how wrong is that.

I have sent 2 DV letters, the second one being the notice that they didn't send proper validation for the first one. (They sent me 2 3 year old bills-copies, with no payments made) This is not validation-I'm looking for a contract with a signature! SO, I get a letter telling me that a judgment was enetered against me, but the "judgement" letter has no court seal-which it says it needs to have, and they tell me they DID send me validation. SO, I'm send ing another letter, I guess, but does anyone have a suggestion as far as wording?

I have a credit card that has a balance of 17,500.00. About a year ago my ex husband stop paying child support and I could not pay the monthly bill. In addition, I was paying 25% interest. In short, I have not paid for a year now. I am going to be cominig into some money from some stocks I have so that I could give the credit card about 10,000 dollars. Since my credit is already ruined, what would be the advantage of settling this account for 10,000? What would happen if I never paid them anything at all?

Basically, in the month of Aug i got PDL's from: Webpayday $500.00 PaydayMax -Loan $560.00 CENTRUION FUND -LOAN $500.00 LOANSHOP/ZURICH -8008069971 $300.00 Biggest Cash -Payday Lns $300.00 500FastCash -CREDIT $300.00 I have already paid $200 towards paydaymax --- and after doing some research last night - came to realize that these transactions are illegal in NJ. Where do I start??? Can I stop the automatic debits that are scheduled to happen next week before they happen?

I began getting payday loans in April of '07. I was just an inexperienced young adult trying to keep my car and my rent paid for me and my disabled mother. I quickly got trapped into a vicious cycle of debt. I rolled over numerous loans until I ended up with 9 storefront loans!! It finally became too much for me to handle. I've even already used extended payment plans with all the companies who would allow, but I ended up going back to reloan to carry over the burden of the remaining loans and my escalating bills. 8 of my loans will soon be in default.

Hi! It's really great to find this website. I'm a first-time mom who has a 2 month old son. My husband and I currently has a debt of 30,000 not including the car loan and the mortgage. And with the new baby, we're now struggling with our finances. As of last month, we're still able to pay the minimum payments but with the baby now and all these medical bills, we are now running behind.. getting bank overdrafts and just basically paying our utilities with credit cards. Even with both of our incomes combined, we're practically just hanging there.
