I am in serious need of some help here. I feel like a complete idiot for letting this get so out of hand. I live in the Houston area and have 5 payday loans, all store front no on-line loans. I haven't defaulted on any of them yet but my rent is coming due and there is no way I can make rent and keep paying on all these loans. Who do I contact to make some kind of payment plan and will they offer something lower than the normal finance charge already being asked for?

My boyfriend just got a call from a bill collector for a pay day loan company and they told him that he "had" to get a pre-paid visa to pay it back or else they would turn it over to the district attorney's office

I Have had my wages garnished for approx. 6 years and paid out $25,000 so far on an original principal of approx. 14K. Needless to say my credit and credit score has been dead for the past 10 years over this. I have recently come to check my credit score and incredibly it has gone up to "excellent" and i just cant get my head around it. I did use the rehabilitation option with the collections company of $100 voluntary payment.

I hope someone can help with this. I have a loan with CashNetUSA which operates as a CSO in Texas. They show being a member of the CFSA, so I was looking to setup a payment plan with them. I was told that the EPP was not available to people who loan in Texas and that I must default before they will work with me (I haven't defaulted yet). On the CFSA website if you click on Texas, it shows that payday loans are NOT offered in Texas. Anybody's input?

Hi, I live in Massachusetts and need help getting out of Payday Loan debt. All of the companies I've dealt with are internet based.

I am curious if you have an attorney settle accounts do you still get to make payments? Do attorneys do settlement?

They say: "Oprah, most likely the richest woman in America, has seen that this actually works, so who am I to argue? Who better knows how to make money than this woman, while remaining upfront and honest? When an investigative team from ABC reported, they also agreed that this works. I trust both to be accurate and ethical. So, if they say that this is a easy way (WITH ONLY A $6.00 INVESTMENT !)to make a bunch of money and is completely legal, I'm going for it!

Not a very nice lady! Ugh, just called me hounding b/c I haven't made one payment on the loan blah blah. However, she was nice enough to split the payment into 3's and not charge anymore intrest. I have to pay something on friday, UGH! 2 down, 3 more to go!!

My back Account has a negative balance(long story). I dont get paid until the 29th to bring it positive...What can i do ! :shock: :shock:

I'm just looking for some advice/opinions not a lecture please! I moved to the US about a year ago (yes legally :) ) I had been paying off a personal loan which I had in another country. Because it's taken a year now waiting for immigration to let me work I can no longer keep paying the loan back. It seems my bank has now passed on the loan to a debt collection agency here in the US.
