Hi, My mother got a letter from Palisades collection LLC saying that my mom has to go to court on some stupid phone my older brother got. They say she owes 1400.00 from 2006 but my brother got the phone in 1998. And now we receive this letter in 2012? It doesn't make sence to me. and my mother does not have any assets. She was a home maker for us 7 kids. But I don't know how to help my mom. She told me she never signed anything and my brother didn't sign neither. So I just need some advice . Stupidly, I got in the Payday Loan cycle and now I am drowning FAST. I have no idea what to do. I was desperate and kept opening new ones to help me survive when the ones I had wouldn't work with me on the payments. Is there anyway I can "force" them to work out a payment arrangement with me???? I live in Alabama and here are the companies that are sucking the life out of me (all were done on internet - not storefront):Sure Advance; Cash Direct Express powered by GECC; Plain Green; US Fast Cash or MNE Services, Inc; Cash Cure and Speedy Cash.

I am a resident of Ohio and currently have 8 payday loans outstanding. It is my understanding after doing alittle research...in OH PDL's are legal. However, we as OH residents can not be charged more than 28% on the existing loan and $1.08 finance charge on every $100 of a loan issued for a 14 day period. Is this correct? I've been contacted by Allied Interstate Inc in reference to a Sallie Mae loan I co-signed for. The young man I helped and his parents are refusing to pay the loan, so the rep says to me from the looks of my credit report I pay my bills on time so they would be pursuing me for the debt. I said the young man works, just moved to an apt, and bought a car $400 mo payments, why aren't his wages being garnished? He said I appear to be more responsible.

Midland Credit Management recently left a message for me to call back. I know this is for a credit card debt from several years back and according to a credit check that was performed while applying for a job I was told that I had no credit history, nothing good nor bad listed. Now according to what I understand the Statute of Limitations for my state regarding credit card debt is 6 years. Also since there's no listing of the debt on my credit history can I assume that it's been at least 7 years since the incident in question?

i have a line of credit with cashnet usa. i have tried everything i have read on this forum. i went to website and hit chat now. the lady said she could not help me. i would have to call collections. i called collections and they wont work with me on payment because i have made all my payments on time. my question is should i not make a payment and see if they will work with me or can someone give me a suggestion how to deal with them. thanks to everyone on this forum. all your advice has helped alot. i am willing to pay cashnet just trying to work out payment plan.
