It just started tonight. When I try to read a post or a blog, I can not get the whole area. It gets "overlapped" by the one to the right with the "Question of the Week", etc. This has never happened to me before. Has anything changed in the last day that I am not aware off?

Has anyone ever had to deal with a CA called "Rubin and Yates?" They are out of, you guessed it, Buffalo, NY. Don't have anything against Buffalo, NY personally, there just seems to be a lot of crooked CA's that operate there. There and Jacksonville, FL. My mother received a message from them today, and for once they weren't trying to reach me they were calling for my brother. They mentioned my mother by name and threw in words like Our Firm, Fraud, Case Number, State Statutes, etc.

I was contacted by the Law Office of Mitchell N. Kay regarding a debt. It's an AMEX account that I did owe, & not pay, & allowed to fall into collections. It's moved away from AMEX, to NCO, to this MNK office. I paid NCO steadily, $250 per month for a little over a year. Now it's at MNK. MNK is offering to allow me to keep paying $250 per month if I send them $750 as a "good faith" payment. My question is...am I doing myself any good by paying $250 as opposed to, say, $100? My credit's still getting dinged...OK.

Today I received 2 collection letters. Both were from ACA Recovery. I overpaid on these loans. So what is the process now? Do I do a C&D to ACA Recovery? Ans where can I get a sample letter. Also do I do a DV at the same time? Has anyone had any experience with these guys? What is the best way to handle them quickly since I overpaid. I do have a letter from OKDOCC for one of the loans says the loan should be null and void. Also ACA is not licensed in Michigan. I think. Thanks

Its a little late for this, but now that I have defaulted on my PDLs and am working with Town and Country to get everything squared, is this going to negatively affect my credit? I'm trying to do some repair work on my FICO now and may be looking to buy a house in a few months so I want it to be as high as possible. I've heard that PDLs don't usually report to the big three, but that colelctions agencies might. Is that still correct?

have received voicemail from both ais services & pdm. need their addresses to request validation of debt.

I posted before about SDS Processing. I contacted my CU and revoked their ACH authorization. That same day they sent a withdrawal in a different amount and my bank paid. Went back down to bank and filled out more papers..they say that should do it. I got two email yesterday from SDS saying my acct had been given to a collection agency. When I tried to email a new letter regarding my action and their continued action I got a msg from yahoo saying that SDS would not accept email from me. Okay, I am going to fax my letter to them now.
