I have been working with them on a payment arrangement, but they wont budge on a lower payment plan and sent me this yesterday. _____________________________________________________ Therefore, we have decided to report the account to Contribution, as service of SCAN. Being listed in this service prevents check writing at major retailers, such as Wal-mart, Target, etc. Once reported this will make applying for additional loans, or checking/savings accounts at financial institutions nearly impossible.

Any advice appreciated.

I've been getting calls from IDT Carmel for about a month now. They keep calling asking for Gary Wray. Nobody of that name lives at my address, only me and my mother. However, in the phone book there is the name "G. Wray" listed at our address. This was Gertrude Wray, my grandmother that died back in 1995 while in her late 70's. There is no one else in the family by that name. She did not having any outstanding debts and we don't either.

Just a thought here. most of the people on DCC found it because they were doing research on a particular Creditor or Collection agency they were dealing with. What if we created a Creditor/ CA ranking forum where members could rate their experiences in dealing with an agency? I guess you could almost call it a Credit report on the creditors. Make it so that in order to post you have to rate the agency to deter from discussion getting off track. Duestions / discussions should still be in the Dealing with debt collectors forums.

Has anyone dealt with them recently? I have gotten horrible rude calls from them and also to my employer. I closed my checking acct. and i sent them cease & desist forms. I also sent another form about the Fair Debt Act & that they can only contact me via the USPS. I called today to see if they received them & the rude lady said Yes and i cannot speak to you anymore on this or contact your employer. Where will all this go now - will i hear from them or a collection agency. I am in SC.

I GOT PHONE CALL FROM GFSIL TODAY 6 TIMES!!!! I TOLD THIS GUY NOT TO CALL ME AT WORK AND HE DID ANOTHER 5 TIMES. HAVE TOLD ALL MY EMPLOYEES IF A FOREIGN GUY ASK FOR ME TELL HIM I GOT FIRED LOL. MPDL CALLED MY REFERENCES TODAY. SENT ANOTHER EMAIL AND TOLD THEM TO STOP CALLING ANYONE AND WHERE IS MY REFUND FROM OVERPAYMENT. THEY SAID THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF A REFUND SINCE NOW I OWE THEM 1200 ON A 9OO LOAN. THEY ARE TRYING TO DRIVE ME CRAZY!!! MY DIRECT DEPOSIT IN GOING IN TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT AT ANOTHER BANK.

Seems like everytime that I sign in, I get a different one. I am a girl (woman) and always end up with a goofy looking guy. HELP!!!! Also, I am very computer illiterate, so I need step by step instructions.

Here's my problem, could I get some advice please? I went to college from 1996 to 2001 on student loans. When I finished college in spring of '01 I thought my parents were taking care of the student loans. Little did I know, my mother never made one single payment on them. My student loans fell into default years and years ago. When I worked, I gave them my tax papers and they took them to their accountant (supposedly), so I didn't even find out I wasn't getting any returns because they were being withheld.
