with the price of gas going up daily, i have been reading where people have been stealing gas from cars. Just want to pass on the alert. I don't have a gas cap that locks but will be buying one on payday, just to be on the safe side.

Anyone ever used a company called debt settlement usa in Scottsdale AZ? If so, are they pretty honest and upfront? Would you recommend them to your family that needed debt settlement services? Please, please advise. Tnx much.

I received a letter telling me that I am being sued by this collection agency over a credit card debt. I live in Texas and I opened this account in 1998 or 1999. The credit card issuer is Citibank and they didn't want to work with me when I tried in good faith to send them a payment for a past due account. They wanted everything to be paid in full. Well, so many years passed and I have not heard one word from them until I was served with a citation on April 14th. I filed my answer already this past Monday.

Well.. I sent a validation letter to the law office of John P Frye.. they called me the next day of course.. I informed them that I sent a certified letter for validation of the debt they have. They said if I ask for that.. they will not give it to me.. they will just sue me.. so I told them I was recording the conversation.. and asked them.. "so if I ask for this, you will not give it to me, you will just send my case to suit" they said nothing.. I said I have nothing more to say. A few more days later, again they called.. said the same thing.. why?

I know it's a huge mistake, but my boyfriend... in a not-so-smart move, sent a scavenger debt person $200 because he got scared when he read the word "sue" in the stupid letter. Instead of consulting anyone about it, he sent the money and they cashed the check. He's talking to a lawyer next week, but what happens if you send them money? Does it reactivate anything? This was regarding a debt he owed back in 1997.

I got a call from 208-955-7248. I am assuming it's a collection agency. I wanted some background info before calling back.

Ok...I've just about had it, I think. My oldest child is 20, and is living with her fiancee in another state. She's never been what you'd call responsible with money. To my knowledge, and from what I've seen, neither has her fiancee, who is also 20. They moved in with me for a few months last year, and couldn't find jobs right away. So in the interest of keeping their credit in decent shape, I paid some of their bills for them, along with mine.

Just for clarification, USFastCash is not part of MTE Financial Services. I just received this email from them. I am not sure if anyone believes that they are connected but apparently, they are not.
