Update on my payday hell

18 years 1 month ago
Ok, I closed my account and will be opening a new account with another bank tomorrow. I spoke to my payroll dept at work and they will have my 4/25 pay in the new acct. by payday so i can actually pay some bills. The account will be marked closed forever within 24 hours. After confirmation that it is closed forever, I am sending out letters to the payday companies informing them I will arrange payments with them according to my proposal which doesnt include the fees. Also, those that i have overpaid and are not licensed are asked to mark my account as Paid in Full.

Call from Magnum Cash Loans

So I just received a phone call from what I think is one of the folks in charge of Magnum Cash Loans, Tom Kane (Caine?). I had previously sent them a letter requesting my account be considered paid in full and also a refund for the overpayment on prior loans. I'd gotten a message from him a couple of weeks ago, and in the meantime, I revoked the final payment I'd made to them, and gotten credited back from my bank. That credit went part of the way wowards the overpayment, but there's still a balance of $300 or so that I overpaid based on VA law. Today, Mr.

How do I force a company to correct paid debt?

18 years 1 month ago
I paid a debt to Palisades Collection LLC in full 11 months ago, and I have been dealing with the attorneys office (Pattenaude & Felix) ever since. The debt is still showing on my CR as being "settled for less than full balance". I have a letter from them showing it was paid in full dated 1/30/08, I have copied and mailed it to the CRA's twice, but they are all still showing that the debt was "settled for less than full balance" as Palisades keeps reporting it that way.

webpayday

Ok. Here's the deal. I am terrified of these people. Not that they have done anything to me, but these are the only people who are calling me. I have paid them $140 so far on a $400 loan. They wanted me to pay them $260 today (which is not possible). I told the person on the phone that it is impossible. They said that they will push it to Friday, 4/18 to "give me time to gather the funds..." WHAT??? Where the hell am I going to gather them from? I tried to explain that I am not able to do this. In fact, I cannot start to pay them until mid-May.

i just received a summons from a company called cach llc. i was wondering if it was necessary for me to respond to the summons and would i have to pay the filing fee to the court. is there any other way? i checked online and i do have a court date in September. i was thinking that i would just show up that day and get my case dismissed due to the fact my sol has been passed. what do you guys think? any responses would be appreciated.

NCO- any advice

According to: Proper negotiation boosts your credit rating in the article section:"Paid Charge-off or Paid Collection Account: This status is equivalent as showing the same debt unpaid. It is quite common for an account to be deleted once the payment is complete. The creditor now has no interest to keep the negative listing on your report.

PNC info

FYI - PNC Bank will reopen your closed account with an ACH debit. You need to have a freeze put on all ACH debits OR give them the names of the payday companies and they will filter it that way. I chose to put a freeze on all ACH debits. DO NOT close your PNC account.
