What a great Forum. It is helping me tremedously. I am located in Illinois and I have 7 payday loans all done over the internet. I closed my account and issued letters to all of them. Stopping their ACH previleges and any wage garnishments. I listed what I had borrowed what I had paid and what my intentions were. If I over paid I requested a refund. I received an email from one of the companies saying they would not refund any to me but my account was considered paid in full.

Hi, I sent out through email a letter asking for a refund after reading all the info (which has been a great help with other lenders) today I received a letter through the mail a copy of my loan agreement, terms and payments and it stated that if I was not happy with the terms to pay it off now to avoid further interest. I overpaid by 2500.00 and am 2 months behind. The calls just started coming today. What can I do Heather

Hello I am currently in a Debt Management Program due to moving and the bills were just way too high and the credit card companies would not work with me. I plan on purchasing the house that I am currently renting in 7 months. I am interested in a USDA loan due to having no down payment and I live in a rural county in North Carolina. I have spoke to multiple Mortgage Lenders and they said I wouldn't be approved due to being on a DMP. I would like to know if that is true?

A year ago, I received an application for a Pay Pal Smart Connect credit account. I threw it out. A month later, I was sent a bill for $25.00 from merchandise I supposedly bought from a company in China. I immediately sent a dispute to Pay Pal, as I do have an account with them in which I use my credit union visa card. They wrote back and said someone would be contacting me, but that they saw no such activity or opened charge account in my name. As far as I know, they did not call. One month later, I receive another bill. This time for a few HUNDRED dollars.

I currently have four internet PDLs that I would like to make payment arrangements on.I am current on all four but the interest rates are killing me. I have the loans through United Cash Loans,Everest Cash Advance, Sure Advance and cash direct Express. I was wondering if there is a sample letter to request payments. These are all set to take out finance charges again on Friday. Thanks

Hi, I just received an email from Plain Green that they accept my settlement offer of principal only and will consider the debt paid once the last payment is made. My question is can they still report the account as late or a settlement instead as PIF? Thank You, Heather

I have Plain Green Loansand Great Plains Lending (installment). Are these illegal in Kansas? I read that if they are, I am only responsible for principal? If I could get the interest stopped, I could pay off quicker. I also have Cashnet Usa, SpeedyCash, Mobiloans, which are open ended lines of credit. I think these are all legal.

I received a call from LTD Financial Services about an alleged debt. I sent them a letter requesting validation and they responded : Thank you. We are in receipt of your validation request. This request has been forwarded to the original creditor. We have suspended all collection activity. Please allow 45 to 60 days for fulfill the request. Do have to allow them that time? I thought they had to respond in 30 days and if they don't the debt is no longer collectable. Thanks!!!
