I am in payday loan hell:mad:. I have loans with zip19, greatplains lending, splash advance loans, and cash central. Are these legal in Kansas? I have heard zip19 is not, if this is the case for all of them what is my next step?

Help

12 years 7 months ago
I received a call last night from Receivable Resolution Group. They are calling about a payday loan from Feb 2010. I did take one out from Manhattan Processing for $150.00. I paid them, paid National Credit Adjusters, paid another collection agency of theirs before I found you. She told me she is not a collection agency but a ligitator. I owe $3000 on a $150 loan but she can probably get them to settle for $750. She is supposedly collecting for Icon group and gave me phone numbers to call. Do I send a cease & desist letter or a Debt proof letter?

MIDLAND FUNDING Q's

12 years 7 months ago
I recently got a decent job, and I also recently noticed that Midland Funding has purchased several of my old debts from various other companies, and holds all together over $15000 (all credit cards) of my old debt. Another key aspect of information is that I live in Illinois and my SOL is 5 year and most of my debt is about 4 years old. Now after I read many things about Midland Funding, I am beginning to think they are trying to collect all of my debts from other companies to sue me.

Fees for ACH Revoke

12 years 7 months ago
I've been reviewing a number of sites and banks to see if fees can be charged when revoking an ACH authorization. Depending on the bank fees can be charged. I've seen a few banks that do not speak of fees for ACH revoke, but clearly speak about stop payment fees. I've also seen a few banks that have revised their stop payment request form to now include an ACH revoke request. On those forms the bank clearly states that fees will be charged. Although I believe we shouldn't have to pay any fees, one should be prepared to do so depending on your bank.

Like many on this site it seems, I'm in PDL hell. Have 8 different PDLs- most just to cover the others in fees, and so on... Took the advice listed on other pages and sent out letters to all of the following, based on assumption they are illegal in FL: UnitedCashLoans Americash Bayside Eastside Lenders SpotOn Loans Your Fast Payday Integrity FreshStart Payday Now in wait/see mode as to how they all will respond, as all, but 1 are severely overpaid. Will they harass my relatives to get to me?

NACHA: Authorization & Stop Payments Teleseminar

12 years 7 months ago
Feeling frustrated that my local branch manager hadn't heard of the ACH Revocation letter I set out to do more research. This teleseminar given by the NACHA (the Electronic Payments Association) is a simple Q&A document that clearly defines what a bank must do when a consumer presents them with an ACH Revocation letter. It also focuses on the difference between a Stop Payment and an Authorization Revoked. Here's the document from January 2010: http://tinyurl.com/97c8x9w Tomorrow I'm going heavily armed with information. The more you know...
