what about chapter 13 bankruptcy, cay you do this with payday loans

When Heilig Meyers went bankrupt, my husband and I had an account with them. Our account was always in good standing. I tried to pay the payments for two consecutive months and was informed by the people (cannot remember company now) that took over the payments that they didn't have an address to send payments to yet. The company that is saying they are the Creditor now is:Palisades Collection, LLC My husband and I separated later that year and didn't put in a change of address. Long story short....

I will try my best to explain this, sorry it's kinda long, but I had to get some of the key points in! Midland Credit keeps calling my in-laws house. My mother-in-law stated at the beggining of the call (i was listening and recording) that she was not the person they were calling for spouse (he is my husband)however this man proceeded to tell her all info pertaining to the collection account.

I needed some financial help to repair my car before Christmas and ended up taking out 5 internet cash store loans. Then someone started withdrawing unauthorized funds from my checking account so I closed it. Now I have all these places harassing me at work, home from work, on week-ends, etc., even though I've made payment arrangements with several of them they still harass me. One called me at work and wouldn't hang up even though I told them I couldn't talk because I work at a prison and we're not allowed personal phone calls.

I'm struggling so much with my decision. PLEASE HELP> Maybe I'm looking for an answer. But I appreciate anyones advice. Which one looks worse on credit? I would think that both have to be negative on your report? If they are- then why not just do BK (chap7) and get it over with?I read in one of the messages that settlement can stay for 7 yrs and BK for 10. So for someone like me who has ZERO savings but wants to save up to buy a house because I just had 2 kids! and live in a tiny apt, why not just do BK and start saving money now?

Is Cash Advance USA licensed in the State of Nevada? Does anyone know? If you do not have the answer, where would I look? I have received a collection letter from Capital Collections LLC - ever heard of them? Thanks for any information.

I have a credit card debt that is scheduled to come off my CR June 2009 last activity 2/2002. Now I have a collection attorney that is trying to collect on this bill. I thought the SOL on credit card for Ga. is 4 years. Can the attorney still collect? Not that I don't want to pay but before I make contact for a settlement I want to make sure I know my rights. I have just over $20,000 in debt. My credit now sucks due to a lay off and struggling with my bills. Now I have to work 4 jobs and still don't make as much as I did. Is there anything out there to help me with consolidating these bills even with my poor credit? I dont own a home so I cant use that... I live in Michigan and its really crappy here for jobs. I have 2 associates degrees and only make roughly $25,000 + a year... Anyone have any advise?

According to my CR the last date of activity was 2/2002. SOL is 4 yrs after the last activity can the attorney still collect on this debt? CR shows credit card charged off as bad debt. Not that I don't want to pay the debt I just can't afford to.
