Hello I am new to this forum and have some questions about debt settlement. I have about 30000 in credit card debt that is in collections. It is between about 10 different accounts. I have retained a bankruptcy lawyer and am now having second thoughts about bankruptcy and thinking of trying to contact the collection agencies and trying to do a settlement with each account. My questions are: 1. Is this worth even doing and would it be possible to negotiate with a collection agency? 2.

One of my friends was telling me that I need to fill out FAFSA every year of my college studies? Is it true? If so, why? Is there any chance of my grants getting cancelled in the middle of my college years before completing the degree?

Hello, I had an account with walmart that was opened on Oct. 9th 2012. The account was sold to Blitt and Gaines in 2016. I was on a payment plan with them and I had paid down my account to 1,000 dollars. Life happens and I was unable to keep up with the payments. They froze my bank account yesterday; and it was over 3,000 dollars that they had on a hold. I didn't have that money in my account so now my account is frozen and in the negative. I was told I can go to a legal aid lawyer and have it removed due to the accounts age and my privacy rights being violated. Please help

What is the age of credit card? Is it an important criterion for a credit score? Is it the same as the lengeth of the credit card?
