I'm working with SDS...2 months have passed with 2 deposits made to them. I'm getting calls from the 2 CC companies I've got the debt with, and now I'm getting calls from Verifacts...a skiptrace company.

I am going through my credit report with a fine toothed comb, making sure everything is reported correctly. One of the accounts I settled on several years ago was owned by LVNV at the time of settlement. This is still coming out in the negative items section of my credit report, though none of the other settled accounts are showing here.

Has anyone ever heard of the collection agency: Global Financial? My mother had a credit card that was stolen in 2003 and all of a sudden this place has called her like 5 times in the last 3 days demanding payment. She informed them that this card was reported stolen back in 2003 and they refuse to believe her. One guy told her he was going to have her arrested.

TransUnion has S&P Capital Investments listed as owning the account Genesee is now claiming to own. I was thinking I need to go ahead and DV them to get this off my credit report, if they in fact no longer own the debt. I tried to google them, but all they seem to have on their web site is a phone number and an online payment screen. Anyone know what their address is? I'm hesitant to call the phone number and open a can of worms! Thanks.

Number that called me was 970-687-0713 Googled it and didn't find much. Was in regards to a Chase account. I have an account with Care One Credit and was about to start making payments when I get this call today. They claimed the proposal was declined and that if I wasn't intending to pay the debt they would begin legal proceedings. I asked them why I haven't received anything in the mail from them and they said they can only send me something via email or fax.

I disputed various information on my 3 bureaus on 09/09/07. There were 17 total disputes. 3 have been resolved. If they other 14 aren't resolved by next Wednesday 10/10/07, they must immediately be deleted right?

Which do you think is better? To neotiate with the PDL or to change your bank account and fight them??? I REALLY don't want to go through the hassel of changing bank accounts but then again I don't want to keep paying on PDL. I am currently negotiating with BIG and Cash in a Wink.... BIG offered 2 payments of $100 and I'm done.... Cash in a Wink offered 5 payments of $100 and I am done.
