2 years ago I left my six-figure salary job to start a new IT business. 2 years later, the business has not worked out but I'm stuck with over $100k in mostly credit cards debt from funds used to attempt to salvage the business over time.
I have 6 payday loans. I live in PA and have read about the laws in PA on this site. What I want to know is if I can 1. Close my one account to stop transaction on my usfastcash payday loan 2. Are all these payday loan companies legal?

When I filed with the Kansas AG against Geneva Roth I was taken back with how responsive and aggressive they were. Here is an interesting article published a few days ago.

I have a pdl with ameriloan but I just found out they were illegal in California. I've already made 1 extension payment. Also, my friend also used them but hasn't made a payment yet. What should we do next? Should I tell them that I am not supposed to pay them for an extension and will only pay the amount borrowed? Will they want the total borrowed returned at one time? Please help, Ed.
I have posted on here before, and I got a lot of information, I'm happy to say, that I'm working everything out, slowly, but it is working. Except for one. I have an online loan with Midland Market. Some collector guy just called me from there, and said he was sending the police to my home and job today to arrest me, unless I paid the balance owed. Can they do this ?
Recently, I took some big steps needed to clean up my credit history. I'm so glad I did it!
Before I went around paying debts that were charged off/in collections, I wish I would have noticed your letter for a "Pay for Delete". I did write my own letter included with the payments giving my new mailing address, etc.
I have already used up my free credit reports for this year, but I would like to keep watch on them. I know there are companies that, for a fee, will let you check them anytime and will update you when changes are made. Can anyone recommend such a company with a reasonable fee? Or point me in the right direction because I have trust issues with giving out my personal information out over the internet.
