Have Many debts that have gone into collections long ago due to illness. I am on SSD, and recieve a small fixed income. Can you help me to resolve these credit issues without killing me financially?

i have a little over 3,000 in debtlike 3,200 how much do you think the monthly loan bill would be if i got the debt consolidation loan?

I was looking at the Do-It-Yourself forum & it said that some of the creditors don't accept RPS. I'm concerned as I'm entering into a repayment plan with a company for debt management & one of the cards I have in the plan says in the DIY forum it doesn't take RPS. My counselor said that she can work with all the companies I am putting on the plan. So I'm just worried now!

I was just reading the news online at one of my local news sites and this story caught my attention, and I thought I would repost it on here:

I live in Texas and have about 8 pdl's out and can no longer pay them. Do I need debt consolidation or settlement or what's the difference? I have been going through a very hard time financially. It all stated 2 years ago when I lost my home to a fire. Had a battle with ins. co. Big big loss!! My credit has gone down the drain. Now they have closed my savings account for NSF. How can I open up another savings account with poor creit. Really bumbed today!! Any suggestions??

Goudah, you are the research queen. Your posts helped me so much in my response to the idiot pdl today. Dollars, your advice is always taken quite seriously by me and I thank you. And all the others who expressed concern on my thread, thank you. I knew we had a damn good community here and that we "got each others backs", but today was absolute proof of that.

I have 5 payday loans all are from store front locations, we are current on our payments with each one, but NOT FOR MUCH LONGER! We only have $20 left after all are paid each paycheck. I have read your advice and stopped my direct deposit and am considering closing my checking account but how do I get these payday loan companies to work with me on a reasonable payment plan (if there even is such a thing) I can't keep paying these high interest loans any longer, but don't want them garnishing my wages either. What do I do???? I am incredibly stressed out.

I am being sued by Love, Beal and Nixon! I did call them and set up a payment arrangement, but it still goes on my credit report as a judgment, they say. I could just cry. This was on a credit card and yes, I did default, and had been meaning to pay on it, just had let the pdls take over for so long that I had no money to pay anything else. Does anyone have any advice about clearing it off my credit report after I get it paid?
