Hi everyone. I have a car loan with United Auto Credit. My payment is due on the 27th. There is a late fee amount, but if the payment is not there by noon on the 27th, these two awful men call me at work and start on me. They say things like, I thought we got this thru your head last time, etc. They call my friend, my boss, personnel. I work for the State. And, this is just the day the payment is due!!! They demand that you wire them the money by five, at the cost of $13 extra or they will come and take the car until you give them the money. Is this legal?

:shock: I have this crazy collection agency calling me about a medical bill from 10 months ago that I honestly had gotten one letter and now i have been sent to collections. I have only spoke with this company 2 times. The first time she called my cell while at work and I informed her I was at work and would have to call her back. She tehn called me back about a week later on my cell and at work and hung up on me telkling me she would call my employer. She called my employer told them she could not send verification that it was illegal that it was a collection.

Hey, I've got a process server trying to serve me papers for Palisades Collection. When I go online to our states court docket it just states that an attorney in our state is handling this case for them. When I try to look up the attorney I can't find any information on them. The papers were filed in April of this year and I have pretty much avoided the process server. They filed on an old address that I haven't lived at for 5 years. I'm a process server myself so I know how to go about searching for people and evidently they aren't searching to hard.

I was on a joint account with my younger brother with wachovia in 2005. I barely used the account, the account is now overdrawn by 1612. The collection agency MRS associates now have the account. I called them a few months and tried to get a settlement offer of 700, but they refused so the guy was like they would probably settle for 1000. I know for a fact they only paid pennies on the dollar for the account and i do not want to pay them the whole amount. It is reporting on my credit report, but with wachovia. I called wachovia and they said i had to deal with the collection agency.

Here's my question - If you signed a mutual release agreement with a PDL where it states that "the company" fully releases and forever discharges the borrower from and against any and all claim, debts due, sums of money.....etc..... Then doesn't that mean you are "released" from the loan amount?? This pdl still wants $300; however, after reading over the agreement for the 100th time, it says the borrower is "released".

i am trying to pay off my debt asap to buy a home without defaulting in other bills....

This loan company showed up as a lending in my checking account. I never requested a laon from this loanshop. I need information on how to contact this company to correct whatever error is occuring. I don't have a contract of terms of repayment with this company.
