i have between my fiance and i 5 payday loans, just in the past 4 to 5 weeks i've been having problems paying them, i have other bills not getting paid, these payday loan places (net) just started taking funds out of my checking without me knowing and causing checks to bounce. we are going to a debt consolidator tomorrow but not to sure they work with payday loan company's. i'm stressed like no other and don't know what to do. i've been reading and hearing a lot about town and country. i have no idea what they are or what they do. could someone please fill me in. so desperate in ohio toni

I recently got mine & my spouse's free copy of a credit report. It had a totally incorrect address for both of us. I disputed this and it was removed. However, it states an employer for me - which looks like they used a very bad misspelling of my spouse's employer. The problem is that I am not even employed by them or at all. I have not gotten a paycheck since 1986 - I am a stay-at-home parent. I also disputed that information, but they did not remove it. Should I bother since it is not even a real company, and if I should how do I get them to take it off?

Okay, A few days ago I get a letter in the mail. It's from a collection agency, "portfolio recovery associates". It says I have a $2,700 debt to Capital One. I have a credit card from Capital One, with a $300 limit and it's well below that. I got the card back in November and they have never contacted me about owing them money, and my card with them is in good standing, they even raised my credit limit recently. So, I call the number in the debt collection letter, and they read me the riot act about how I owe them money and they are going to make sure they get it.

Has anyone ever dealt with AIS Services LLC? I kept getting automated voice mail messages from them so I decided to call back and find out what they were calling about. I was told they were trying to collect on a payday loan (I can't remember the name) from 2005. At first they were really nice with me but when I was transferred to my "case representative" she began calling me a liar and yelling at me and being very rude. I asked her why she felt that she had to be mean and nasty with me when I was being nothing but nice to her and trying to deal with the situation.

I can not view my loan documents from Purpose loans. I have sent emails to them and called their customer service. When I called they said I could not view my documents until my loan was either paid off or I made arrangements with them. Is this legal. Don't I have a right to see these documents?

I wanted to tell all who come to this website for advice not to ever take out a payday loan, internet or any other kind. They will get you into a world of trouble and you will find it hard to break the never ending loan cycle. I also want to advise everyone to carefully research your states laws regarding payday lenders. In many states payday lenders are prohibited and in the states where they are legal, interest rates on the pdl are capped at a certain monthly percentage and yearly percentage.

Can I be taken to court over a payday loan in Michigan?

i ask portfolio recovery for validation. they sent me a letter thats starts out with affidavit of ownership and sale of claim. then it goes on to say that they bought a debt from arrow financial for the sum of 200 dollars.on 12/15/2005. and that there is no unknown payments made by me. is this validation. i ask for copies of the contract of the original debtor account balance any monies paid etc.oh yes and they had it noteried.

Has anyone ever heard of these 2 PDLs? Trying to close out 2 loans and am having trouble. I am in Florida and am very interested in hearing from anyone that has info.

please i need help. i'm in way over my head. my credit card balance has went to $3,300 in 1 yr.
