Please help!!! I live in South Carolina, have 4 online pdls, and am about to default on 3 of them. I was able to work out a settlement with mycashnow, but 500 fast cash, united cash loans, and nationwide cash loans say I have to actually be in collections to work a deal. I'm afraid that they will not work with me and will demand full payment up front. Any suggestions?

I'm a college student who owned 4 too many credit cards (meaning i owned 4). When I lost my job last year I wasn't able to make payments on any of my cards and ever since I have been struggling with collection agencies and have been swallowed in a pit of debt. Now I also have an my ex-cell phone company after me and I have a bill with the water company from the old property I lived at. HELP!

Wow, I sent a email last night to Cash Direct Express requesting for a refund and that my account be marked as paid in full. A rep from the company just left a voicemail on my cell. She said they did receive the letter and they were investigating it and would respond in about a week. Well, that is really prompt. She sounded courteous at least and left me her extension as well. I hope this is a good sign they are willing to work with me.

I took out a loan w/ Cash Today Ltd back in January of 2007 for $225. Since then I have paid over $400 in extension charges. I froze my account last week and have since been receiving calls from them on my cell. I just called the collections department and spoke with 3 different people, all of whom I asked to mark my account PIF and went over how I have paid them what I owe them legally and that my account is frozen and I will not be giving them any more money.

Ok, so after checking my creit report i had an entry from this collection agency... so i sent them a DV letter from this site stating what i wanted to see from them. Today i get this letter and i'll try to make it as brief as possible, but this SURE does NOT seem like what i asked for in ANY way! whewwww..... sorry to type all that out but is that debt validation?!?!? They have sent me NOTHING i asked for in the DV letter.

i owe a collection agencie by the name of midland so i am trying to find out what the bill is coming from and who i owe am i in the right place to find out information about my account

Who are these people

After a third party collector fails to respond or responds improperly to a validation letter, what is the next step for those of us who can't afford high priced attorneys. Also what happens in my case, the collector just passes you to another one, you send them a letter and they pass you on again. They must figure its better to sell you than to deal with you.

Scenario: Loan for $350, paid $525. Sent ACH revocation which they ignored. Filed complaints with STate of Wisconsin. They have sent correspondence this week. Just got offer from United Cash Loans. Should I accept or insist that account be PIF without further payment since they are 1) illegal and cannot get interest out of me and 2) ignored ACH revocation which I supported with EFTA case law. Any help would be great as I only have 48 hours to respond.
