What a joke that was! I waited for 30 minutes for 10:00am to finally get here! They called me up first, and wouldnt' u know it, CACH wasn't there but they hired some OLD OLD OLD guy lawyer from here locally to be there on behalf of them! SIGHS... Anyway, the judge tells us to out to another room and talk.... took a whole 30 seconds inside the courtroom. We went out and he just asked me a TON of questions! So now seems CACH has MORE information on me than they did before... SIGHS AGAIN! After he asked all the questions he needed, he and i started up our own conversation.

Due to constantly being layed off after college my debt has become a problem I have judgements that i had no idea were in place or had the time to go to court for. I need help for everything. My student loans are not in default but i need to pay them. I have credit card debt a repo and cell phone bills. I also have billas in my name that are not mine.

I borrowed some money from my dad to help pay off these loans. It was humbling to have to tell him why I was borrowing such a large amount of money. Unfortunately, the PDL fees and interest will come out on this Friday and the check from my dad won't clear until next Tuesday. If I allow all of these fees to hit my account on Friday, I won't be able to pay my mortgage which is already late by 15 days.

I called Checkmate collections today to tell them the account is closed and both my husband's and my check will come back to them and that I needed to make arrangements. The person was very rude, stated the minimum they can do is half of what's owed next paycheck and the remainder the following. I suggested $50 per month and she said no way and that I was telling her I wasn't paying and I said again that I intend to pay but can't do half and half. She stated she was disconnecting the call and was contacting my employer to pursue the check. I know this is bull.

I live in Vermont and I have 6 payday loans. I just stopped letting them withdraw from my checking account because it has been months since I have seen any of my paychecks. I still owe and I have to pay them back but they are calling me at work threatening me with jail and telling me I will never be able to write another check. I don't know what to do. I do owe money so I have every intention of paying it back I just can't keep letting them take my whole check every week. What do I do???? Help!!

I stupidly fell for the online loan.now they have taken over 700.00 from my account .i need to know what i can do to get it back .if anyone knows please help!!!

I have been lurking and am trying to find the best way to get out of the PDL hell that I am in. I now have 8 loans out and am paying $600 every 2 weeks. I am trying to find out if the agencies are licensed. I want to send letter telling them to stop automatice withdrawals. Here's the kicker. My name is NOT on the bank account they are debiting. It is in my husband's name only. My checks go into his account...(yes, I know, it's a control thing which is an entirely separate issue and why I got into financial trouble, having NO access to my own hard earned money).

THis really has nothing at all to do with debt or anything even related to that but I dont really have ayone I can go and talk to about this so I thought I would give it a try...i had this feeling that my boyfriend was talked to his ex girlfriends behind my back, so one day while he was in the shower i went through his cell phone, big mistake, and i saw some text messages from two of his ex girlfriends that he told me he never talked to anymore because they are "crazy", based on what they senid in the texts it looks like he was the one initiating the conversation.

I am so overwhelmed with credit cards bills, finally this month my husband and I have been late. We have used up all of our savings but could no longer keep up. We live in California, and searching for a good company to get into. But what is better Debt Mgmt. or debt counseling? We have searched the BBB but so much we are lost... Can someone help us? Ok, so I have gone to an attorney and I will more than likely file chapter 7. I was concerned because even though I am current on 2 credit card accts. the attorney wants me to include them in the chapter 7. My husband, who is not filing and has good credit, is an authorized user on one of the accounts. The attorney told me it will come up on his credit report, but that my husband can explain to a prospective creditor that he did not claim chapter 7. Is this the only way? Does anyone have any suggestions?
