I keep getting nasty emails from a Joe Abney. Every time I ask for more information all he tells me is the date that I recieved the money and how much. I even ask him what company he works for and everytime it is a different company. I feel like he is almost scamming me. All I want is a straight answer. I told him one time that I was going to file bankruptcy and that I was in the process of doing some research on it. He said that the company looked it up and could not find anything. I told him that he would not b/c I was doing research on it.

Can they really? I got a letter from LVNV Funding LTD. (FMA Alliance, LTD) how many names do you need to have, anyways the letter says they're charging me interest on the amount that is due and if I want to dispute it bla bla bla..

Guys I have a problem, a friend of mine had a Credit card with Capitalone, she didnt pay, it past the SOL and some attonery contacted her job and got all her information from the HR Department, about a week later she was "served" on the weekend at 8am, She agreed to keep it out of court and to start paying on it. She paid $1000 and then monthly payments of 175, they've raised the price and now want to make her pay a apr on the balance she owes to them now...Is there anything she can do?

I was in two car accidents in less than a year, neither my fault. To "get well" I was off work for over two years. I lived on my retirement money and credit cards for everything from living expenses to replacing/repairing major items in my home. I would like to consolidate my credit card and minor medical bills into one payment that would leave me enough money to not feel the "crunch" any more and be able to pay my living expenses. I would also like to have creditors quit calling me.

I have read the 7yrs starts when the account is first deliquent is that at the first 30 day late stage... If so if it is paid current does the 7yrs shift agin until its late again? Help educate me on this I have some that should be close but do not know how this works.
