Can anyone help me please... Yesterday evening I got a mess. from my nephew that a Mike Rush from Genessee Valley Associate called with a reference #. I called back today and was transferred to him. He got on the phone and immediately responded that I owe a debt of $5K to Bank of America. (Please note: I never had a bofa credit card). I told him that there has to be an error and this debt must belong to my brother. Since my brother and I have very similiar name and there's only 1 letter different. And I know for a fact that my brother had a bofa card.

Did anyone have a problem with the on-line TenDollar Payday Co. They took money out of my account as Rio Resources and MTE 8 times between Sept. & Jan. 2007. $90.00 to $140.00 every two weeks. I was unable to reach them by phone or email. Several people sent in complaints but I can't find them. Please respond if you had same problem. My bank says they counter with I authorized them to do this. 10 withdrawals is contrary to CA state law. Did anyone receive a resolution? Thanks for your response.

Can someone please tell me the difference between a Private Student Loan and a Government Backed Student Loan? Specifically, I'm curious about a collection agencies powers. For Gov't Backed Student Loans, I know they can attach income tax refunds and even garnish wages without actually suing. Can they do the same for Private Student Loans? Thanks

Basiclly, I fell behind on payments and charged all my credit cards up to a high balance by paying for items and meals that I needed with out using the cash tha I had on hand. When I receieved the cash instead of putting it towards the cards or in the bank I spent it and then realized I still needed next week's bills ot be paid so deceid to use a card.
