I had a loan through quickdraw, never did pay it off, filed a complaint the AG's office and have not heard from them since. Today I come home and their was a woman on my machine with a great deal for a new loan for preferred customers like me. How is this even possible, I haven't settled the old one with them. Unless the AG complaint took care of it??????

I've been looking through the site and I have seen all the recommendations to file complaints with the above listed offices, but I havnt seen many people report back on what happened afterwards. Do they actually look into these claims? How long does it usually take? Please share good/bad results from this part of the process.

I am in a financial mess for the next 45-60 days.. I have Payday loans (storefront) and have not defaulted or been late on any Credit card. I have mad sure all car payments have made it before the 30 day mark. And my Credit scores are still terrible.. ( I guess to high of balances). I plan on paying EVERYTHING off including my car in 60 days when I get my money.. Here is my question I know if I pull back and do not make CC payments for 30 days it will affect my credit even more.. BUT if I come back in 45 days and pay them off will it improve my credit score or is the damage already done?

In 1997 I had a home phone line (Verizon) which was in my brothers name (with his permission of course). I moved out in 1999 and had the phone disconncted leaving debt of $150 which I neglected to pay so of course it went into collections and I did not pay. I am not sure if the delinquent amount went on his credit from Verizon but as of today there is nothing on my brothers credit report from Verizon or any other collection agency saying he owes this amount.

Where can I go to find out the legal amount pay day loans can take out for finance charges??

:evil: I signed up with Hess Kennedy through CCCA. The first two payments were to pay for their service and the balance to pay for my debt. After the first payment they took more money out of my account than authorized. Then when I asked them to change the payment date they agreed but never did. Never contacted my debtors. Repeatedly placed me on hold and then hung up on me.Then I would call back and wait again. I had a different person to talk with every time I called and a different story as to what was happening with my accounts. Even my debtors called and they were put off.

After viewing my credit report I'm a bit confused. My original cc debt to Chase in the amount of $4,343 is on here with last reported date 10/2004 and status is paid, closed/Account charged off. It also says Account closed at consumer's request. Then the very next entry is also from Chase with a different account number opened same date as first one but with last reported date 8/2005, status is closed/past due 180 days. $1,455 past due as of Aug 2005. Account closed at credit grantor's request and this one is in the amount of $9,405!
