Ok, before I explain what happened, I took out the loan when I lived in Maryland and I have since moved to Florida. I had a 300$ loan with Tremont Financial which I took out in Nov 2006. I have more than paid back the balance, but that is not the point (at least not yet). I closed my account that Tremont was debiting and they said I had a balance of $200. I asked for western union info and meant to send it, but never did. I then looked at how much I had paid in fees (at that point it was close to $500) and figured they had their money, they weren't getting more.

I am getting calls from a collection agency in Minnesota for an OLD credit card account that I thought I had paid off in the 1997-ish time frame. I printed out all three of my credit reports and this account is not on any of them. It doesn't show up at all, not in the adverse account area and not in the account in good standing area. It just isn't there. I also looked at all three of my credit reports that I had printed out in March of 2006 and didn't see the account on any of them either.
