When looking at a site provided by a member (rcfp.org ) about laws concerning recording telephone conversations,I had a question.It appears in PA both parties must be aware the conversation will be recorded. Would I be safe recording the call if when the conversation starts I say I will be recording this conversation.If the CA continues talking am I ok? Thank you...again.

Do most banks allow you to go into your branch and request to shut down your checking account number and transfer all of your information over to a new account number? Or, do they make you do all the same things again as in opening a new account? Do I have to tell them a reason I want it closed and new number opened? 2. On the old account number that they will be closing, what happens if all these companies try to debit the closed account.

I received a collection letter and I disputed the letter asking for copies since I have not seen the phone bill in a long time, 1998. I paid all my bills and since I have no proof that I paid, what can I do to prove it? I have moved since and all paper trail since then are all gone. They gave only the last bill and it was only for $13.00, they are sying I owe more. pls advise thanks

Here's the situation, I had an account with hsbc fell behind in payments they sold it to a collection agency called atlantic when I contacted atlantic they said they sold it to Collect America, on the 20th when I tried calling yesterday, they have an automated machine where you enter your account number or social, but it doesn't come up, so i can't get in contact with anybody, Collect America hasn't called yet, but I am expecting the worse becuz I've heard about how nasty they are, What do you all recommend I do???

Here is a response e-mail sent By Payday 2 go. I sent them a letter stating the laws of PA after they refused to make payment arangements with me and continued to harrass me.
